I have to take issue with the notion that the "plan" system provided ethnic or group identity. The plans separated ethnic groups to discourage union activity. If you were an Irishman on Plan 12 who couldn't speak to a Serbian from Logstown, your ability to coalesce around organized labor was stunted. I also believe that the separation of ethnic and racial groups added to the tension that followed in the 1960s. When I lived on Plan 6 as a very young child it was no longer the provenance of the executives. They had moved out to the Hopewell, Center, and other more rural/suburban townships.

Marinara sauce is a thin tomato sauce that is more for mozzarella stick dipping than a true tomato sauce which include more than tomatoes and herbs...if there are any vegetables in your sauce its a true tomato sauce and not a marinara sauce, like onions. I wish people would correct their use of the term because it is a different sauce than what someone considers a "Sunday Sauce". This is sauce and not marinara, though this will be highly acidic especially with the added wine, and it's a very thin sauce. Cook it longer to reduce it and thicken up and I believe you'll enjoy it more. My Sicilian grandmother made the best sauce, it's been handed down for generations❤❤❤❤

We pan fry too but don't use so much oil. Its not necessary. They brown up just as easily with just enough oil to coat the bottom of the pan. We slso add parmesan cheese into the mix or pecorino. But it reminds me of my Sicilian grandmother. ❤😂

Hi Shereen, can the Madeira wine be optional in this recipe ? The green beans would probably be delicious without the wine.

McDermott Basically drained Babcock and willcox And shut it down. B&W What's a specialty steel producer and Were well known to be able to get out of product quickly if need be. When McDermott took over, they decided to limit their customers to those who could buy a 100 tons or more A month the small buyers were pushed out. They used to keep a lot of steel billets and steel bars from past runs of steel and could use that to quickly get a product out to a customer.. Mcdermott made them get rid of the steelyard and they no longer had those pieces ready to go, so whereas they could possibly get a product to a customer in a few weeks that turned into months. Specially tube producers in the united states Buy enlarge survived the eighties down turn of the steel industry. That's why bob cock and wilcox survived the Depression

Cannot believe not one mention of Judy Lash. She was working in the ticket booth at spotlight 88.I had moved to North Carolina about a month before this happened and she was supposed to come down soon. My grandma called about 11pm. to tell us what happened. I made it back home in record time. Everyone thought she was going to die and we had a new born son. It was a rough time for sure. Luckily Judy pulled through and Mic grew up to be a great guy. Funny, the Wizard of Ozz is still her favorite movie. I still love that girl. Grimmy
