I cannot believe it’s been so many years but I found this video back in 2018 after a bad, bad breakup. I mean this song was on repeat. Well, I come back tonight because I was forced to leave someone due to various reasons. This video is like a bar I go to hang my hat and spend some time feeling bad about life.

She changes the lyrics to "when I go" in the beginning pre-chorus and I think the first time I heard it I assumed it was a mis-remember, but she sings it that way in a bunch of other recordings and it's just such a tiny change but OW.

Julien Baker is truly an inspiration in all she does. She is not only a next level, fucking LEGEND of an artist, but such a spectacular person as well. She is one of the best musicians of the modern age, as evident in this cover of a Jawbreaker song. If you think this is good, listen to her solo stuff.

I recently got divorced...23 years with the same person. I've been crushed for a couple of years now since it was a process. This sums up how it feels when you know the relationship isn't good for you anymore, but how it's so hard to just leave.

I HAVE A DREAM! I have a realistic dream. I would like to be one day on a stage in the middle of a very huge stadium, with in front of me an enormous philarmonic orchestra and Richard Hawley with his band. I want to be the musical conductor of this orchestra an the band. And i want to conduct this WONDERFUL song. But before this will happen I have to admit two things: I`m not a conductor and I think, that I will die after the end oft this song...... Thank you Richar Hawley!

Great cover. The original is amazing but this version is fresh and I would say equal in emotional impact. This is how covers should be executed, finding a different voice in the song that still captures the original. Brilliant.

What's the furthest place from here? It hasn't been my day For a couple years What's a couple more? And if I go, don't forget the one good thing I almost did I learned your name without words I used my eyes, not my hands What's the closest you can get to an almost total wreck And still walk away, all limbs intact And when I go, you'll be there Screaming out, begging me I won't hear I'll just go fast into this night on broken legs A near miss or a close call? I keep a room at the hospital I scratch my accidents into the wall I couldn't wait to breathe your breath I cut in line, I bled to death I got to you, there was nothing left What's the meanest you can be to the one you claim to love And still smile to your new found friends? In the same confusing breath You pull away and draw me in I wanted you, you wanted more I built this life and now it's mine A near miss or a close call? I keep a room at the hospital I scratch my accidents into the wall I couldn't wait to breathe your breath I cut in line, I bled to death I got to you, there was nothing left A near miss or a close call? I keep a room at the hospital I scratch my accidents into the wall I couldn't wait to breathe your breath I cut in line, I bled to death I got to you, there was nothing left
