I've had a single in dual out cherry bomb extreme on my 95 5.2 v8 ram for awhile and it's honestly wayyyy too loud, something like this or a magnaflow glasspack that's supposedly better made and sounds better than thrush/cherry bomb stuff may just be what I end up getting. There’s a few options for valvetrain has a couple options to improve it. (440 Mopar and upgrade shaft style). Heads need improvement for n/a at 500 cu. In. But boost can help offset it. Peak power and rotational weight is improved with rods/pistons which helps smogs as well, timing gears are easy to replace with a cam. Definitely have their issues but seems to have a decent potential for a budget engine. Ported iron heads, 440 Mopar valve springs, rods and pistons, cam, and a block girdle. It seems possible for $2500 in a long block that can handle 1000 hp at 6k rpm.
