I’m not a parent (28) but from what I understand raising a child means providing an emotional safespace with yourself so that your child has a place to learn how to be vulnerable and strong out in the world. If this is not provided your child can be molded by the world, whose currents are unpredictable. Discipline is more a trait of, rather than a prerequisite to, success.
