I actually had an injury in my last game and was using Andy's roller. What I did was change the Home Possessions to 1-10 and did a no time roll, using the Offense Player as the reference for the player injured. Your way using the 1-20 from the Stopped section works as well (and you don't have to remember to set the possession back to 1-11 before the next roll.) As you know, injuries are fairly infrequent in this game, but a 'quality of life' addition to the roller might be an Injury button that would tell you who was injured.

I really like the aerial ratings on the card, though I found I was getting very lopsided numbers at times for the home team with them always getting the ties. So I made a slight tweak to your rule and decide ties using the same method as the possession rolls. Home team still has an advantage, but not as drastic.

I'm more of a Strat guy, but have several Payoff Pitch seasons and do like the game quite a bit. I love the card quality as ordered from the company and how it incorporates both the pitcher and batter into each result.

Tho I prefer cards and dice, sometimes it would be cool to have it on the computer. Also would be nice to upload stats from the cards and dice games to keep track of season replay stats

There usually isn't a ton of scoring. The average league will average between 2.60 to 3.10 goals a game, but the sterotype 0-0 game hardly ever happens. Yet, whenever a team gets a corner, a foul, or any shot late in the game in a contest within one or tied, it's going to be thrilling. It's going to keep your attention. And the large number of games are going to be within one goal sometime during the final 20 minutes of contests.

Watched the whole game! Loved Portland won since Portland is my favorite MLS team. :) Flowed really well with your system. I created the +/- system but have never used it. I think I need to start using it. I thought it would make defense matter a bit more (as you mentioned) and at the same time maybe a great player would end up a -2 and taking them out for a weaker player may make a little more "game sense" even if it completely didn't make "NRS sense." I really like the idea of adding a few points for subs late in the game. Maybe the final 20 minutes (think that's what you did). You can radically change that +/- rating by taking a player that maybe was a -1 out for a player that will become a +2 because they are fresh late in the game. It may actually be fun to do a random roll on that influence. Maybe something like this: 1-5: + die roll adjustment 6-7: no adjustment 8: -2 adjustment player struggles trying to find their way in the rest of the match.

Your Excel skills put mine to shame! Speaking for myself, I would appreciate having even the generic roller available for use.

First off, great job on the video. I may have ask this before but when roll a PK on the players card, do you award a foul and/or yellow card to a defensive player? If so, how? I hope you do a video explanation on endurance rating and how you implement it. I Struggle with this for some reason. By the book, it seems random. I would prefer to see some kinda "penalty" to the ratings once a player exceeds their typical minutes played. Something that is easy to use but forces the "manager" to sub (I know the +/- things does that some too) and even plan his game substitution list for players that can not play the full 90. I messed with a additional 50/50 roll for a player who has exceeded their endurance rating, pass and carry on with result, fail is a turnover with possession next turn. The 5 subs rules has really reduced the endurance ratings as well. Dave, don't think you get the credit you deserve for the development of NRS, great design for a sport that is tough to translate to the table top. A soccer game to me must have a flow to feel like you are playing a soccer game. Great job. There are some good "highlight" driven games out there, problem is I'm a stat geek and NRS scratches that itch and has the flow. Thanks man.
