I actually just bought this bike. I don't love it. I am brand new to gravel. I have taken it on 3 rides. The last 2 rides I had a lot of trouble stopping. Where should I look for parts? Thanks! Brand new to your channel.

Have you bed in the brakes? If you haven’t just search it up. Admittedly, the brakes are not great but functional if you get them bed in. Also there are a lot of good mechanical options online as Black Friday approaches. These are flat mount style.

Do you recommend having a bike computer GPS route downloaded, or is it pretty clearly marked on race day? Great Videos !
@thestablecyclistАй бұрын
Yeah absolutely, the race organization has race route files you can download from their website I believe. You don't "need" it as the course is very well marked, but it's nice peace of mind when you are tired and your computer can remind of changes, especially when you get to the Buffalo Gap spur at the Nat'l park. Again, it's well marked but no need to get confused.

Bringing Christianity into your persona and cycling is so boring sorry. Go to church fine but don't need to comment on it. Disclaimer I love the Bonk Bro"s and like Drew but telling me you are a Christian is meaningless.
@jacobmeyer1236Ай бұрын
What makes it boring and unnecessary? If you're truly following Christ (i.e. what being a Christian is all about), bringing Christianity into your persona is kind of what you're called to do. You should be different than the rest of the world and it should impact all of your morals, values, actions, etc. and going to church is just a small portion of it. As a Christ following cyclist, I think what Drew is doing is great.

The Black Hills are amazing and I will be riding there a lot more in the coming years! Yes, you can train between 5,000 and 7000 feet there, as two friends and I just bikepacked to 8 peaks over 7000 feet in the backcountry there in June and it was beautiful! I have four fun videos, one for each day, if you're interested in seeing what the biking is like!

Hi JP. I know that you are feeling a lot better these days and I'm very happy about that! Did you ever look into the use of low carb or ketogenic diet or endogenous ketones in recovery from concussion or bipolar disorder? I have heard a lot of good things about keto and the brain. Check out Metabolic Mind podcast on KZbin! There's a lot of research and talk about low-carb/keto nutrition for mental health! I wrote the entire Maah Daah Hey with a friend over a four day period in a low-carb/keto state and felt great.

Really needed to hear this as I have been quite active this summer and I am still training for backpacking in Colorado in August and riding the Dakotah Five O over Labor Day weekend. I'm feeling the need to ease up and you inspired me to do so! Walks are a great idea. Rucking slowly helps maintain my strength and my body's tolerance for carrying load. You should ride the Five O sometime if you haven't!

👋Hello from good old St. Peter Minnesota! Sure wish it would stop raining down here this year so I could get the trails back into shape. This area sure produced some influential life long mountain bikers back in the 80's/90's and thanks to people like Bruce, that tradition is continuing all over the state.

Great podcast episode. Life long cyclist from a non cycling and non accepting of me being transgender family so use lower end/older CX bikes. As bike local race photographer in SoCal agree with union idea and sharing of workload, money, etc. Been to too many races where the prompter takes advantage of you or one photographer get all the media and money for years. Got tired of it. Limit to races to race I want to do or my CX teams only to save money and time. Now doing novels and art gallery help to make money. Also a transgender CX/gravel racer too. CX nationals is not my plans due travel coast form west coast. Last year tough seeing the achievements hopeful for the future for the community early months then it went just so bad. One thoes you did not support USAC & UCI with other event organizers after last summer. Then this year changed my mind to show up to let we exist and deserve the right to start as well with equal respect. Bike parts needing replaced ate the bike race cost up this spring now looking to the fall with limited money and resources. As for the last bit with former groups put down getting there right and equality then turning back on thoes that helped get there from a even more putdown group. Transgender, nonbinary, intersex people helped all these groups get all these civil rights, opportunities, etc. for others. Then get told to shut up and stay down by thoes they just helped.
