Good vid and presentation for the LR spare. My 2006 3 had the 4520 model, and yes while searching for a replacement, no retail or private seller shows the most important side of the part. They all list the part as for all years for the 3 or 4. WTF ! really? , most are china knock offs. I ended up picking a refurbished 4520 part and replaced spare w/ a lr4 spare and rim that matched my mounted tire set & diameter. Didnt do the grease - good idea. Your observations and tips are spot on. 👌

What I came to realize is that it does not matter which one you get. The older part is the 64520. The newer part 39686. You can use either one. But the 39686 came about . Because , mechanics would use air/battery impact guns to raise and lower the tire. That destroyed them. That is why Land Rover went to the 39686. You can use your jack handle to cranking up and down. So, it does not make a difference which one you buy. You do have the tools to use both of them already.

Also so the 39686 come with a shield on the cable. That is suppose to make it more difficult for some one to cut your cable to steal your spare tire. If you have a normal Rim on it. That thief want.

Wow, That is a Great Question. There is no volume controls on the 4 Transmitters or Receivers. You would need to turn on the switch on the receiver at the bottom ( speaker/mute) to the speaker . Then you would have to have someone listen to the phone. Then tell people to place it on your shirt in the location to get a flat sound through all 4 or what ever amount. I think BOYA missed that option.

Just got mine today - too early to tell - wish the ear piece ( rubber part ) was a little more sturdy- sound is good - only using it for heads free driving - but I will invest in something better after the year -

0:18 They make a model with a 3.5mm jack! You got the by-v4u (with type C) but there’s a by-v4 (has a camera jack!!). I’m thinking of getting these mics, is it worth price? New subscriber here, found it very helpful!

Thank You for the update. The Amazon Website changed for this product. This Microphone is worth it. If you need or want 4 Channel Microphones with a good range. BOYA is a great brand and One of the Better brands I have tested.

According to the Amazon product info, the charging port on the receiver is so that you can charge your phone while you're recording.

Yes, It is. The charging port is to charge the phone while it is plugged into the microphone Receiver. It is a charging port that goes through the Microphone receiver. To keep your phone charged up as you are recording. Yes. You are right.

Yes, you should be able to. It show up as a direct USB-C microphone. The only problem I can see is , if you can plug it flat in to the Camera or not. You could use a USB-C extension cable . If you can't plug it in. The video of my test (outside) was taken with a DJI Action 4 . I just plug it in to the Action 4 and it works . Also so, it does works with the Action 5 and the Pocket 3. Buy just plugin into the USB-C plug. I don't have a DSLR camera that has a direct USB-C. I could test it on my Son's "Sony A7 IV" camera. But, I won't see him until Thanksgiving. If you want me to try on his camera let me know?

With all the Wireless Lavalier Microphone I have. I'm finding that for everyday uses. This inexpensive microphone work well. You are just paying for features. There are a lot of good inexpensive microphone out there. Take a look at the Video I did about the $350 " Shure " mic. And for only $22 . This one of the inexpensive Microphones, I really like. The other brand I like is " Boya" . Thank you for viewing and commenting on this video.

you must clip it with the microphone pointed up, not to the side. there's a magnetic clip so you can fix it on your t-shirt (see landmark lark m2 reviews, it's similar). the noise reduction is not "always on", you enable it with a click on the button at the bottom (the 4th icon on it's face will light on).

The light that is in the front of the microphone goes out. So, there will be no light when it is fully charged.

One of the best auto repair videos I've seen. My brake pad light just came on and I'm looking to do my brakes myself. I've changed brakes on all my cars (probably about a dozen) over the years. This will be my first time on my 2013 LR4. So glad I watched. Land Rover seems to be a bit different than any others I've changed. Thank you for your video. Very helpful! I'm planning on purchasing parts from Rock Auto. Any advice on brand name for the pads? Any thoughts on semi-metalic vs ceramic? I thought about ceramic on the front because I am getting a LOT of brake dust on my rims. Thoughts?

I get my stuff from fcpeuro.com. They have a lifetime warranty. Yes, wear sensor, rotors and pads. I change mine every year. If I need it or not. Only pay for return shipping. I buy the brake kit. " Pagid " pads, " Bowa " Wear sensor, and " Zimmermann" rotors. OEM Land rover pads are " Ferodo" or " jurid". I like " Pagid" or " TRW " . As far as Pads types. I like the semi- metallic ( the braking in better, more dust. but, damages the rotor more.). The ceramic pads ( less dust, does not stop as fast. But, does not damage the rotor as fast.) But, I get mine from FCPEuro.com. It is a free lifetime warranty.

Yep, this person stripped the pin on this side too. This "was" a reverse threaded pin. I'm glad he did this as now the rest of us know.

What pin did I strip? on mine they are all the normal thread. They are not stripped. I can post a video of it. I also use that same jack on other video after this one that shows it working.

Filter on Left Drain on Right and do not change crush washer! DO NOT change any crush washers. Hand tighten both Filter & Drain. Again Do Not change any crush washers. 2015 Honda CRV has the original factory crush washer. I change my own oil and filter and my 2015 CRV never has leaked a drop of oil.

I am using a Samsung Smart Phone to record video. There is no part of MY video that shows if a microphone is hooked up. I guess you can't use the photo camera app already installed on the phone. Do you have a suggestion for what different photo program to use?

No, you can not use the photo app. You need a video app. The stock Samsung video recording app works. You need to start recording a video to see the message that it is using a USB mic . It is shown in this video.

You said you are using a Samsung phone. In the stock phone do you have a pro video version ? I ask because you can see it on the right under Mic. If you don't just start recording a video and it should say at the bottom that it is using a use a USB mic.

It just plugs in to your phone. It shows up as a USB mic. I just use what ever video app that came with the phone. I showed it working on a PRO version on it. to show the change. But, it should work with any phone app. If you can not get it to work. You may have got a bad unit and that needs to be returned.

Yes, you are right. My case is a "Spigen - Tough Armor". My case is thicker than most. But, I have not tested any other Microphones that the port is that short. Like I said " I do like this microphone." I also have more "BOYA" Brand Mic's Than I'm testing now.
