Sempre ottimi tutorial per quelli come me principianti.se posso fare una domanda sul tutorial perché con l'ultimo sketcher il punto per capirci, nella vista 3d io lo vedo con una forma quadrata piatta e non sferico come nel suo video? grazie.

If you want to create wall thickness: - Method 1: using 3D offset tool directly in Part WB. Dont forget to check on fill offset. - Method 2 a little harder: 1. Using Filling tool in surface wb to fill all 4 holes. Not recommend using Array. 2. Go to part wb, select 4 holes and the shell and union them 3. Select the fusion, go to menu part-convert to solid. 4. Select 4 faces and use thickness tool.

Everything works fine until about 22:12. When I preform the 'slice apart', I only get 6 parts rather than the 8 you get. The small handle slice properly, but the long handle does not. The long handle *looks* like it is in 3 parts. I can click on any of the 3 sections they highlight as in your video, but when I click on any of them, the same slice (Slice001.5) in the tree view is selected and deleting the single highlighted section deletes the entire handle. I imagine this is a bug in 1.1.0dev.38923.
@DuyQuangDang
@DuyQuangDang 12 күн бұрын
If Slice apart seems buggy, you just looking for the very first Loft in the begining of the video 2:02. Then use it as a cutter and cut the compound.

@@DuyQuangDang Thanks, but I had the same result; the small handle sliced properly, but the long handle did not. I'm going to take a look at how I created the handle as I may have made an error. Cool technique! One thing I noticed is that at about 2 minutes into the video, you selected the dots, then the line and used the C key to move the points onto the line. In FreeCAD Version 1.1.0dev.38923, the key is now 'O'; the 'C' key is for coincident constraints. Otherwise, your instructions worked perfectly! One question - at the start of the video, you have every other link set to different materials. I tried to do this, but found that I had to select a lot of surfaces on each link before I could apply the materials. Did you find a quicker way to do this?
@DuyQuangDang

When you downgrade the array, do not upgrade, then you select the solids that you want to apply material

Now I just have to figure out the bad Loft shapes. Did you know that you can rename items in the Properties Data Base Label area? Click once to activate (turns blue) and the type the name. You can also add a description in Label2. It maybe hidden.

Thanks, DuyQuang. It wasn’t a painful process, but rather a deep learning experience. I had to restart the duplication many times over. I finally got the ring as the final result, even though I’m not sure how Murphy’s Law got involved in the process. Also, I couldn’t delete the lines of the curve segments. All in all, I’ve learned a lot through this exercise. Thank you so much for your work and support. Have a nice weekend!
