can someone explain what's the interest of cam tune ? Just to make it sound like it's going to stall ? Or is there a power gain ?

The install was not a power gain.

Petit Racing, front fenders are Ronin, Ronin makes a flared rear quarter panel also that are pretty sleek.

Good video. Just a thought… At the very beginning where you are utilizing slow motion and the red circles, which by the way are very helpful, don’t you think there should’ve been a mention of checking your mirrors prior to turn in though to make sure no one was trying to pass on the inside?

Nicholas, yes, track awareness is defiantly important and I agree that it would have been a good addition. Thanks for you input.

The music! It's not a dance floor, I need the engine roar and the map of the track since I never been there so turns without the map not giving the clear car position, look how it's done here kzbin.info/www/bejne/pHacXmBnqtKgnZo

Sorry I missed your post Lev. Thanks for your input. Unfortunately, there's no way to have the engine sound with slo-mo. The video you mentioned is nice in it's presentation but for me, I prefer the continuous fluid motion. I supplied a PDF map with numbers and car position in red to assist as a separate download. You must not have watched the whole video as I showed a section of hitting the APEX at speed with audio and also a lap at full speed to bring it all together. I suggested the viewer visualize the first part of the video (slo-mo) with the circle to help them remember the track and where to look. Again, thanks for your input.

I love watching these videos, especially since I am the current owner of this car. Car just turned over 160,000 miles on the chassis and I believe it still has the engine from this video. I wonder how many miles the Tein street flex coilovers have on them? They still feel strong.
@donyaun6 жыл бұрын
Hi Chris, Glad you are enjoying the car. I'm not surprised the engine is living long. There's not better engine builder than Rick Engman. Many times I have thought I should never have gotten rid of that car. It was an amazing ride. Seeing that it is still on the road with 160K is too cool. Please keep her running. You will also like this video. Watch at 8:49 for a flame blast from both exhaust. kzbin.info/www/bejne/rHbcqWiboNlol7c That car comes with a lot of track history, including the 2010 NASA-SE TTD Time Trials Championship. That was while being a daily driver. She's a good car. Where does she call home now?

Oh, the Teinflex coilovers were installed around 2004 or 5 if I'm not mistaken.

Still in the Knoxville, TN area where I bought it exactly a year ago. Believe I had the pleasure speaking with you and some of the other GA members last year on the club page. I knew it had some history racing, but I just discovered the videos on KZbin a few months ago and have greatly enjoyed them! Incredible the shocks are that old! They seem fine, stiff but not abusive and no noises or defects. Never imagined any shocks would survive this long!
@donyaun6 жыл бұрын
Well, if the passenger side are still good, I'm amazed. The way I would take turn 3 at Road Atlanta is with the right side in the air. You would have thought those shocks would have been toast by now. That was a fine car. I still miss her.

How did the tune hold up? Drive on it?
@donyaun6 жыл бұрын
I haven't seen Corey in quite a while. Last I heard he had traded the car but still loved the tune. I believe he would change the program out occasionally but loved the Lund tune. I know I did. It was a hoot to ride in. This is not a performance tune but an exhaust note modification. Personally, I would not do a mod that sounded badder than it was but hey... to each his own. It was a great ride.

Amazing video as others have said, thanks for posting.
I like the slow motion lap...it gives you time to get everything 'correct' first before you start having to do all of that at "Full Speed"... The one 'difference' for me is that I do R/A on a BIKE...and we have to take the "Kink" at 3/4 as an entree to 'The Esses' into #5 ... (-;

Loved, subscribed. Looking forward to other tracks. Will you plan on any in the northeast, Watkins, limerock, thompsons, New Hampshire?
@donyaun7 жыл бұрын
Thanks Scott, It was quite a job producing that video. The reason you do not see this done often is that the circles had to be edited into the video one frame at a time. With a frame rate of 30 fps, that means a 5 minute video has 9000 frames. :D As mentioned earlier, I have retired from tracking. This video has been a really well viewed and appreciated learning tool for Road Atlanta. When I see the response to it, it does make me want to do other tracks. Who knows, maybe one day I'll pick it back up when I retire from my daily job.

@@donyaun Wow individually circled 9000 frames?! What an effort! Thank you for your hard work, it is definitely appreciated! Excited to attend my first trackday next Spring!
@donyaun2 жыл бұрын
@@blackmustang17, thank you so much for your kind words. Hope you have a great event in the spring. I just did a recalculation on the frames: Approx 7 min of slow-mo with circle. That means 30 fps x 60 sec = 1,800 frames per min. Then 1,800 x 7 min. = 12,600! No wonder I haven't done any more! I must have used something in my video software to help that along. No way I moved that little circle around that much! :D

It will stall if you have this tune on an auto trans. This is mainly for manuals that you can feather the clutch and gas with
