I've been driving for 30 years. It's a lot different when you got 30 trucks side by side of each other with no orange cones. You got nothing but hoods and trucks. See how well you do then get you some automatic boys

I'm doing City works in Montreal and Quebec. It is way more harder in actual job. But my tip is. Never get intimidated with the other truckers just focus, Get Out And Look. Always safety first.

Could you have found an easier combination? Try it with a long nose tractor with a real sleeper attached to a spread axle trailer in a crowded truckstop in the dark.

Cones are different than trailers next to the space where he's backing into. Your video is staged, it's not real.

Alot of these 90 degree videos have them starting in a 45 degree. The testing center in Statesville, NC won't allow us to do that.

If you’re trying to teach backing, you kinda have to get the steer axle in the video the whole time
@alamsuner28804 ай бұрын
This was alot easier compared to the smaller trailer which is definitely more difficult when I was in driving school lol

Turn streering to the right (clockwise) to push the trailer to the left about 2 pace from the cone (takes trailer steer axle 3 - 4 secs to respond to steer) and then steer to the left to correct it once in and back up straight (little turns to the left and right)) using your mirrors. Hope that helps

It’s crazy how much I used to hate learning this maneuver, thinking to myself “I’m never gonna get this” Now I’m out here doing it like it’s a part of my routine. I have an easier time doing this than almost any other maneuver.

Hey I’m learning this I’m at my new job and trucking school they didn’t show us shit like this.. I’m expected to know all of this in 3 days of training and I’m having a hard time understanding the concept.. tmrrws my 3rd day but I’m no where near ready for the actual thing.

Buddy filming it is horrible you miss we’re you were suppose to show the tractor start setup position than when the student was backing you didn’t even have to camera on the drive tires.

I had to back in like this with trailers on both sides and along the right side where the shoulder would be when your pulling forward ! I got it done 3erd times a charm !

Don’t make it easy on the students thinking that it’s going to be that easy, take them to an actual real life situation with cars honking their horns at you and flipping you off for not knowing how to back up and being to slow. Don’t forget to tell them you’re not going to have this much space to work with when you’re on your own
