I want to know what it does coming up on a piece of truck tire (gator) and there’s traffic on your sides so you can’t swerve.

In Las Vegas, the FSD needs a lot of work especially with the chaotic traffic and constant construction zones in various parts of the city, however the latest update is impressive.
@tesliusfsd2 ай бұрын
No doubt. Construction zones are irregular road obstacles that can only be reasoned through in real-time like we, as humans, do. That's where AI comes in.

There’s a fallacy in your belief. Do you trust humans, who are emotional beings, on the road with your safety or the safety of others? I have used this for nearly 2 years… it has dodged or stopped for every single pedestrian I have come across. Of course… maintain a healthy dose of skepticism but I encourage you to try it. It is built with safety in mind. …and keep in mind, this isn’t the latest version. It’s already outdated by a week or so. We are on version 12.3.3.

I don't trust those got dang self driving cars, but put my faith and trust in the plethora of inebriated and tired drivers. And especially 16 year olds and every other person on their phone. Definitely no sense in worrying about any of those people. Yep. Just the computer drivers.

… “it’s learning!”. Yes, looks nice, but I wouldn’t jump to conclusions about the learning. Maybe the initial conditions going into that turn were so slightly different each time that you didn’t notice it, and that made the difference :-)

@@DerekDavis213 Up until recently, everything was coded with specific parameters. In the real world, driving has to be reasoned through in real time. Now, the city driving ability is now powered by AI through version 12.3. The left turns are fantastic everywhere else I've tried it so far.

I have never seen such a roundabout with these kind of lane constructions (after a junction there are several lines and then reducing to 1 lane each direction until the next junction), that is well sorted out and reduces misunderstandings. But maybe this type with all this clear lines and signs is rare. But anyway, this type is only possible where you have huge space, because this roundabout is huge so you have place for all this seperated lanes.
@tesliusfsd11 ай бұрын
Yes, you are right. Before these lane markings were created, there much higher likelihood of confusion on how to traverse. These type of lane markings are unique. I have never seen such lanes like it anywhere else.

I used to live on Termino! That traffic circle was a daily part of my commute and a LOT of people do not know how to navigate it.
@tesliusfsd11 ай бұрын
Not surprised. It’s very stressful driving through it. The road used to be blank and it was much worse. The lane markings help so much.
