THANK YOU I’ve been trying to figure this solo out for hours now and every tab or tutorial I found either was really confusing or lacking information, just didn’t include the solo or used a slide guitar, I got this down in about 15 minutes or so after this thank you.

Man this is a brilliant tutorial. This is definitely the most fun I've had during the early stages of learning guitar. Definitely going to learn some more Jack White songs. I reckon Jimmy the Exploder, or In The Cold, Cold Night will probably be next to add to my repertoire of guitar songs.

My ultimate guitar dream is a Resonator and slide. Jack is my favorite guitarist, male anyway. Sister Rosetta Thorpe for Ladies I think.. Anyway, once I have Catch Hell Blues down, I'll be able to justify buying the Resonator. Wonderful job. I watched a few of these tutorials but yours is solid.. Thank you. Im curious what the other top 2 songs by Jack WS are.. That answer truly depends on the day for me.

I was just shopping for resonators yesterday! Still haven't pulled the trigger but will one day. Great minds think alike.

You should probably correct yourself to say you are in open Eb tuning. Not open E. Otherwise, great lesson!

This is my favorite White Stripes. Beauty in simplicity and the sheer Garagepunkblues belligerent nature. Fast, outta control and overdriven. Everything I like about electric guitar. Thanks for the lesson. Still dealing with the illness but I’ll be back to B&B in a few weeks

6 months later I still miss the hell outta you… It’s 2024 today. Thanks for all your tutorials that helped me so very much. I’m travelling in Mexico for a few months with headless guitar I take apart for airline carry on with a Spark Go mini amp and headphones. I can plug into PA system when I run across the odd jam sessions. Your suggestion to try Moises was a real game changer. We lost our drummer Lavel Jones passed away. The band in Phoenix AZ is no more. I’ll be 63 next week and have attained my dream of actually playing guitar starting at 57.

K-man You rock buddy. Good to hear from you. I am determined to sit back down in the easy chair and make some tutorials! The first one will be dedicated to you!! Sorry about the drummer/band. So awesome that you've progressed to the point you have, especially since it's later in life. Enjoy Meh-he-co. Be safe! 2024... The year of Easy C

Anybody watching this: Tune your guitar to Open D, and use a capo on the second fret to get Open E. With Open E, you have to raise a few strings, which can damage them. It also makes them more taut, and harder to press down properly. A capo gets around that. Or use a shifter on something like the Whammy DT to get the same effect as a capo.
