I actually thought they all performed well, but looking at price versus performance value, the UA 1176 pedal gets my vote. It performed as well or better than the other pedals across the full range of settings-with the all-in setting being a clear advantage-and costs less than the rack units. Now, what do they sound like compared to an actual vintage 1176? Can they be used with low compression to no compression for tone coloration? Without knowing for sure, UA seems so attentive to those small details that I'd give them the benefit of the doubt more than the others.
