Been here for 32 years alls I can say this place feels like a prison. So boring. Richmond got like 50 restaurants but not nothing to do. Just a band aid on a turd

Finally, after living in Madison County from 1984 to 1991, I left to move north. Then, after my departure, it was finally decided to put water back in Lake Reba. Had I but known, I might have remained there. Oh well, I now have the Ohio River a few yards from my back door, & Lake Vesuvius, Greenbo Lake, & Roosevelt Lake all less than 30 minutes away.

You're confused, the Confederates never succeeded in taking Kentucky. My great-grandfather was a US Cavalry Sergeant at the Battle of Richmond, & his brother was a teamster for the US forces there.

Through my research it was William and his brother that partnered and one went North and one stayed back. And he got naturalized through his marriage with Magdalena Lupe. Where did you get this information? I’m doing a research paper on this family ancestory and would love to know.

With the revolutionary war going on at the same time, this story (understandably) does not get enough play in the history books. It's one of the most American battles of all time, in my opinion. Cheers to the brave Shawnee warriors defending their territory and Americans who fought against them to hold their new ground. Everyone present that day was tougher than anyone reading this comment in the year 2021.

A lot of these people in Richmond are pure evil. I'm not saying everyone that I meet is like that but you will experience it a lot more when you're on foot as people will stick their heads out the car windows and scream and cuss at you and call you all kinds of names. I currently got into an argument with a girl the other night who was claiming that I was trying to touch her as she was stoned out of her brain when clearly I was straight across the street 200 feet away from her. I currently live in Richmond and I had to take the apartment that I currently live in just to get off the street because I was homeless. The transportation system here absolutely sucks and I'm trying to get a car and another apartment somewhere else in another town and when I do I will be getting the heck out of here. This is a college town of 40, 000 people and this place has run down to the dogs. The sidewalks are all busted out of the wood work and everything in between. It is not what a college town should look like nor is it that friendly. Richmond wants tourism, well they sure don't keep up their sidewalks and everything. Our current mayor is up there sitting on his rear end of doing nothing for our town that I can see. I'm not the only one complaining about the Situation's here. My uncle and I were interviewed by the newspaper office the other day and the lady told us we were not the only ones complaining about the sidewalk situation and so forth. There is no future here for the young people. This is a dying town and it's a disgrace that it's even called a college town. Go somewhere else and don't waste your life here.

I see the building I live in. I wouldn't move here if I were any of you. This place sucks, especially if you're without a vehicle. I am currently looking for a new vehicle because the transportation system sucks here. I wouldn't be living here if I had another choice. I only took the apartment I have because I had to get off the streets. Plus, this place is infested with drug addicts. Not a good place to raise a family at all. Especially in the Family Dollar area right across the street from where I live. Very very ghetto and drug addicts activity
