If you put lights on it then you will need a battery. Since that engine does not have an alternator you will have to keep charging the battery

Hi David, my old YZ did the same when I bought it. Just need to pull the rear suspension linkage apart and grease all the bearings. It's not too bad to do but make sure to read the service manual and properly torque all fasteners when reassembling. Good luck and have fun with that thing!

I have one too but I took the 6hp tecumseh out and put in a 16hp honda enduro 5speed manual and lifted the rear 10 inches with rebound supension would sell for 2000 ive got 1750 in it. bought it new from walmart $550 back in the day.

that might work for you guys but just a heads up, you can make or get someone to make you a really good one out of a old 4 wheeler that will have gears and suspension and it will haul butt if you have the right size of engine (i know cause i built one, wanna see it check out 7thgenfordf-series(dot)blogspot(dot)ca

I have on just lije thus but the motor blew so i found a new one like it and i adjusted the throttle so it runs like a bat out of hèll

you will be lucky to hit 50mph but they are fun so if you want for speed you can try to switch the engine out for a more powerful one.

hey i got the same thing but i took the front of the roll cage off, well actually it broke haha. i painted mine blue and black. put front and back lights on it. UNI air filter got that adds some power definately worth getting. pos when i got it but it was only $80 and i have only put like another 200 into it and it works very well. im sure yours will be nice when its done too. any1 thinking about getting an old one its an awesome starter project if you can get it for under $100.

@MXHondas230 I just bought one but its running real rich. Were can i find out how to tune it up. The spring attached to the governor was off and I'm not sure which hole it belongs in. I have the same cart and engine. Cheers

hey, can you tell me the ratio on the kart for the clutch teeth and teeth on axle??? Thanks! btw, have one just like it and wanna find a better gear ratio because mine is slowish, i have a torque converter but i can still mess with the gearing a bit, thanks again!

@marsqualls what exactly do you mean about the cooling system? my zj seems to run a little warm alot, especially sitting still with no ram-air coming in. i think it has to do with the engine driven fan...

i cant see it in the snow
