I've gotta do mine and believe i have a misfire too, no check engine light on though. I am curious why the only coil pack they wanted replaced was the 3rd cylinder? Was that what the code showed? And would there be a code without the check engine light on?

Perfect Video. I Watched it cause I Have a 2013 TL. Code P0302 . It starts smooth and then it's starts shaking. But the funny tricky part is. I disconnected every coil one by one and I could feel the difference in the idle.. until I get to cyl-6 shake stays the same.. But my scanner reads 302 which is cyl-2 and not 6 were the shake stays the same . Spark plug is good and coil is arking . Hopefully is a tight valve

I did my plugs yesterday on an ‘08 Taurus X. This video was perfect. No surprises. I had my tablet right by the car and paused the video before doing each step. The worst part about the job are the 2 clamps on the hoses on the back. I could not get the one on the right off but was able to get it done anyway. Thanks, couldn’t have done it without this vide!

On modern cars torque very important on all fasteners.alot of plastic parts can't just man handle them like the.old days plugs can come loose and pull the threads out of the head.now ya got a big problem. Remember things expand when hot. So that's why we have torque measurements. Do it right.

hey great video i have a 2009 ford taurus was thinking of giving it a tune up car has only 55,000 miles about 6 months ago i pull out the first 2 front right spark plugs and notice they look like the ones in your video.my car still runs okay just i notice some vibration while is on idle.i don't know if needs tune up i didnt have that vibration 3 years ago when i purchase this car engine was really quiet i was going to ask you is a good thing to change the pcv valve while the intake manifold is off? because i didnt see you change the one in this car you were working on.thanks in advance

@@dvera9726 how many miles you got on yours? I would like to tune up mine myself too.but the only thing is those to brake hoses by the firewall and the other one he had to use a special tool to detach while I’m there I will change the pcv valve because it goes with the tune up,the only thing is those hoses in the back of the engine if they give me a hard time I’m may loose my patience.

Hey, thanks a bunch for the video! Certainly helped me out with some upcoming work... Gotta do the 100k "tuneup" on the wife's 2015 Taurus (which looks pretty-much identical to this one), and was sort of dreading the intake removal... but it doesn't look like that big of a deal. I like the fact that you use a little anti-seize on the plug threads. I've been doing that myself for decades on all my engines. Really helps the plug come out "next time". Also, the rags in the intake ports is ALWAYS a good idea. Excellent job and advise. Thanks again!
