u have minor illusion to help with the child (for one round, or u can INVIS him), also I guess a lot of ur turn are clutch because of the illithid cull the weak, I dont play with brain worm digger power but I understand it

Your strats are so elegant and clean. Normally, I am a die-hard Shadow Monk-Rogue multiclass afficionado but your stacking of Resonance Stone + Shadow Blade + Shadow Strike is bringing me around to the pleasures of pure Shadow Monk (especially since Helmet of Grit exists) I really need to figure out that whole "throwing potions on the ground" trick. Last time I tried it, with Myrkul, it instantly aggro'd the fight, didn't even get to pre-kill the Mind Flayer ugh

I finished my solo shadow monk run a few days ago, but I didn’t handle many of the fights very shadow monk-ish and used a ton of consumables. This was a work of art!

Why not use shadow blade to deal more psychic dmg with the steeped in bliss condition? It would've dealt more dmg no? Add to that maybe certain items that stack up spell save dcs would've made myrkul less resistant? Just a thought. Great fight btw 🎉

For a shadow monk specifically I really like to use the True Darkness mod so that darkness actually works like it is supposed to.

What's the difference between fog cloud and darkness ? In upper level fog cloud is much larger

All while the amazing BG3 chorus is playing. Couldn’t have asked for a better stage to showcase.

Should probably mention at the beginning of the video that this build depends on farming chain lightning scrolls, which won’t be found until act 3 and are quite expensive. Saw the build and ran it through most of act 3 and it’s really just a magic missile machine gun with the occasional setup for nukes. The friendly fire, chances to get electrocuted myself, and lack of burst without scrolls or perfect positioning kinda made it seem eh by the time Orin came around.

Failed the intimidation check with Gekh and they’re hostile. Any tips, rather not engage in combat at this stage but still want to kill grym
