I don't know if you or anyone will see, nor get this But I am a DM and my players wish to play this I got one major question May I ad my own NPCs, like a steampunk dragon Do I have to use the minion of Strahd, or can I use my own evil followers, like there is a blood cult
@YourPocketGM16 күн бұрын
You can add whatever you like! You might want to consider how it would affect the tone of the campaign; and if it will be useful to players or make the world feel more alive and detailed.

hi, I'm going to be running this adventure for a party of three soon. at multiple points you mention "half as many enemies as players" - how would you balance this for a party of three? would halving be rounded down or up?
@YourPocketGMАй бұрын
I always round down in 5e. If you want to do 'half' an enemy you could have an enemy appear after the first one dies so they don't fight them simultaneously.

@YourPocketGM thanks for the quick response, that's helpful!

Hope you see this. These aren't in order in the playlist. Thank you for making them.
@YourPocketGMАй бұрын
Sadly these videos were made out-of-order because the group I played with was approaching the book content out-of-order. Going forward I am trying to arrange all my content in a linear fashion to prevent this issue.
@jesslavender8852Ай бұрын
@@YourPocketGM not according to the book chapters -- the way you have arranged chapters to parts makes complete sense -- I mean the KZbin playlist itself goes 1 2 5 4 3 6.
@YourPocketGMАй бұрын
@@jesslavender8852 I think KZbin was attempting to sort the episodes "most viewed" or something along those lines. Is it fixed now?
@jesslavender8852Ай бұрын
@@YourPocketGM yup! Now the series can be auto-played in order if your viewers want :-) Again, thank you & great work, these are really helping me chew through this module.

I am interested in the quote at the beginning about the Gothic novel as detective story by Horace Walpole. Do you remember the specific source of the quote, where he wrote it? Edit: it looks like that quote can be found in an introduction to "three gothic novels" edited by E. F. Bleiler.

I normally just create my own adventures because I can do it while completing tasks, having an audio version of the books is changing things. I can use this as a solid guide and just wing everything else I don't remember or isn't covered. Truly changing my style as a dm, I wonder if my player will notice. Appreciate you sir, you have a great voice for this as well.

I have the book to refer to but was struggling reading through it to get an idea of the story. This has been so much easy to take in the story. Thanks again!

Um... I have a weird question, with the Cassalanter's plan. They want to protect their children from having their souls taken by Asmodeus, which will happen when the kids turn 9. So their whole plan is to trade away 'One Shy of a Hundred Unfortunate Souls' instead of their kids, and 'One Shy of a Million Gold'... but there is another way, if they are already willing to shell out that much money. The 9th Level Spell Imprisonment, which states that 'While affected by this spell, the creature doesn’t need to breathe, eat, or drink, and IT DOESN'T AGE.' Since the kids are noncombatants/Commoners, it would only cost 500 GP per kid, and that would give them the time they need, right? Like, I get them just being here to be an antagonist for the summer season, and they are Capital 'E' Evil. But the book also says they'll act to save their kids first, so a little hit to their reputation should be worth that to them, right? Of course, they need a strong enough Arcana Cleric (who takes this as their 9th Level Wizard Spell with their 17th Level Domain Ability), Bard (Magical Secrets), Warlock or Wizard to cast the spell. TWICE, at appropriate cost. But that includes, just among the named NPCs in the book; the Open Lord Laurel (assuming she can obtain a copy of it and cast it as any wizard could), the Blackstaff Vajra Safahr (Who Has It Prepared as Her 9th Level Spell Unless the DM changes it)... or Manshoon, if the DM feels like crossing the streams.

The best page to make rolplay that i have seen, i make custom TTRPG, with my own rules, lore and monsters, every page i used doesnt have custom character sheets or, in cases like Klin or Fari app, doesnt have grid paper and commands. With this, i can use maps, npc tokens, and commands to make things like weapon damage, level up or store prices to much easy
