You should try Little Gunpowder State Park. Start at Guyton and Bottom roads and you'll be in the middle of a lot of great trails.

Glad you enjoyed the trails at Hickory Ridge! So that others are aware, E-bikes are not allowed on Hoverfly (mountain bike only). Class 1 E-bikes are managed as a separate use class by The Nature Conservancy (because they have motors), and are welcome on all other trails to promote more equitable access to the nature sanctuary shared-use trails.

Officially, I don’t think the rules allow it yet. But people use pedal assist ebikes all the time on these trails without issue. So I’d go for it.

My backyard trail system! I helped build several trails there. Bonus tidbit, the "MORE Fun Downhill" name is a nod to the local MTB group who built/maintain the trails at Lake Fairfax: MORE...the Midatlantic Off Road Enthusiasts.

Taking the six that way it is harder I think. Climbing Old Mine to all the trails in my humble opinion is better. A little be steeper but shorter. Entertaining video as always.

Moved from Texas to Virginia last year and Lake Fairfax was a great chance for me to level up from the usual green trails I did in Houston. Made awesome memories on these trails. 15:40 Also never thought of doing this section in this direction. Always went the opposite direction. Probably why is was impossible for me! 😆
