I really appreciate this content and your visual approach in describing mechanism of how a second brain should be structured. In particular, I liked the explanation of the 4 layers of Distillation! I guess it’s one of the most challenging step, and I never found till now a right and clear description of how it works and the steps to follow. Also, I found that voice notes in the Capture step are so good to get instant thoughts, insights, ideas; we often don’t have the opportunity to stop, get a physical notebook or smartphone and write down what we want to remember of that moment. So, many thanks for this video! Cheers from Italy 😊

Finished the book. While it's important to learn different perspectives, I think VERY FEW people should follow these principles. If you are a "win at all costs" kind of person that doesn't mind getting your hands dirty and hurting innocent people, then sure this book is for you. Even if you are that kind of person, there are two major issues I have with this book: 1) It doesn't focus on teamwork whatsoever. It's a SHARP contrast to a book like Extreme Ownership, where Navy Seal operatives always take blame for any team failure. In many cases, the team/company/business has to beat others; teamwork is ABSOLUTELY imperative in those cases. If a team of people who believe in 48 Laws competed against a team of people who believe in Extreme Ownership, I'm betting on the second team all day. 2) It doesn't factor in survivorship bias. The stories in this book are only success stories (or failures when people break the rules). I'm sure many, many believed in the principles and lost their careers or even lives (blaming others for everything, always hogging the success, being deceptive around others, etc). However, the failures never make it to stories we hear, only successes do.

I admire how passionate you are with this, but the end note of leveraging the ones you know isn't always a sure thing. We'd love to believe our loved ones would support us, but if we have a loosing streak with trying new things and giving up too early, what makes this time difference ? Why would they support us then? Or if our loved ones have many assumptions and "shoulda" for us? Us having our dreams met are not important to them and they want us to stay in reality. If the ones we know are mostly negative, why bother? They'd just discourage us. So, what then? The flock has the same mindset. One could use the flock's weakness against them to win. Aside from that, I don't see ann advance to the ones who are close to us being filled in on our dreams.

Some guy at work did everything mentioned to me. I felt like a victim of sexual harassment right after. I literally cried thinking about why was it me who he chose. I believe it was because he saw I was shy and vulnerable. Whatever the case was I felt absolutely terrible for having been the one he chose to play this little game with.

@@samanthamartinez5147 He was dead wrong for the hotel thing, but touching you. Was it a date? Because if so, from a guys point of view, the only way to find out a girl you are out with doesn’t want to be touched by you is to touch her and see if she allows it.

@@samanthamartinez5147 Your feelings are valid especially because I don’t know the backstory, but as a guy I think he was showing his attraction to you. Apart from the fact that the kind of selfish, ruthless insincerity these "rules" are suggesting is simply disgusting, it is probably a good thing to remember: This is not science (at all). It is a manual on how to justify your most antisocial, manipulative impulses with arguments that sound just intelligent enough to pass as sensible (at a first glance).

Therapy and meds are the best combo in my opinion. But start off with therapy first because it address the trauma. Meds are meant to improve mood but doesn't resolve the trauma. Read up on attachment theory. Identify your style and the traumas that caused it. Will be useful to share with the therapist. You can search for Dr. Gabor Mate vids too. Hes very easy to understand
