16:00 Oh shit this part is so nice cause it's easy to play fast and it opens up so many doors, reminds me some bebop licks I played at the trumpet when I studied jazz

Can anyone name that Ibanez model?

Ibanez Star-4 (VM-1). It's his old signature model from back in the day! There were a couple different variants. The one he is playing in this video is the VM1SH.

Those were the days where guitarists had to do what they did, in order to live/survive in a formated industry (sounds familiar?). It's a bit like the analogy between a 'muscle car' & a "Rally car", the muscle car can go fast, straight, for a while, but once you get to the turns, can it turn right 'fast' ? Still, these guitar videos were from pioneers from that era . Times change, nowdays, you hardly have any solo, and it's ok too, people evolve with age, so does music and trends, talent remains. Take care & go practice!
What i love so much about myung's playing is that he never noodles or meanders, despite playing in a band known for flashy instrumentation,he knows when to hold things back

This is a legato fest.....Why would you ever want to stop playing Ibanez and go to Fenders? Money, endorsements I get it. But no way Fender guitar better than Ibanez.
