The Grootslang or Grote Slang (Afrikaans and Dutch for "big snake") is a legendary cryptid that is reputed to dwell in a deep cave in the Richtersveld, South Africa. According to legend, the Grootslang is a primordial creature as old as the world itself. Tales state that gods, new to the crafting of things, made a terrible mistake in the Grootslang's creation, and gave it tremendous strength, cunning, and intellect. Realizing their mistake, the gods split the Grootslang into separate creatures and thus created the first elephants and the first snakes. But one of the original Grootslangs escaped, and from this first sire all other Grootslangs were born. It is claimed to devour elephants by luring them into its cave.

PLEASE DO NOT MAKE FAKE BIGFOOT VIDEOS. You discount the actual authentic discovery of specimens and mislead those who do not know better. Bigfoot isn't about theatrics, it's about genuine research.

In 1966, When I was about 7 years old, and in 3rd grade, I stayed at Grandmas house alot. One day I found a Sears unicycle in the house; I have six uncles there, nobody could ride it, it was basically another item that grandma ordered from Sears... I don't know why it was in the house. The house had a long hallway as many of these old Bronx, NY tenements had. I held onto both walls and taught myself how to ride the unicycle. I also taught myself how to free-mount... of course I didn't know there was a word for it... we didn't have the internet in 1966. There was nobody to help me. I practiced in this hallways, and when I could finally ride it, I showed this new thing/skill to my friends back in MY OWN neighborhood. I don't know if you can imagine the response of people seeing a 7 year old riding a unicycle. At this, several of my friends immediately went out and purchased on layaway new Schwinn Unicycles... My entire group of friends in the Bronx were a complete Unicycle Group... I'm 65 now... and I took my 2 unicycles to ride for the last time a couple years ago, then I sold them. I didn't think it was wise for me to continue riding them. 1 bad fall at 65 could be the last time you ever fall from anything. YOu can find my Unicycle Videos here on KZbin.

Sounds odd. Like someone reversed a recording of a roaring animal, applied reverb, then rendered it and reversed it again. It's a common editing technique to make something sound otherworldly or unnatural because it's a pattern that does not occur in nature. You may have heard it before in Mass Effect as the vocal effect applied to the Hanar. It's also used a lot in gothic industrial dance music and industrial metal. WIth the density of that forest you wouldn't have had such clear terminations in the waveform and you absolutely would have heard the echo/reverberation after the vocalization, not before it. I think Mr. Erlo Brown is having some fun with us. Not that there's anything wrong with that, an imagination is a great thing to have.

If you want to hear real scary things, do two things: on vacation do 1) stay at a cabin in the Smoky Mountians in a rural remote place. 2) go with a couple of people at a camp in the Australian Outback rainforest for just one night. And good luck.

At first the sound seems to be in the distance, but as the “growl” ends it sounds right next to him!..Not sure if that makes sense but if you listen with your ear to the speaker you might catch what I mean!…I could be wrong but it sounds like a sound that may have been edited in!..🤷‍♀️
