I was quite surprised that he used the word “contrived” because, honestly, I don’t think reaction KZbinrs typically approach things with the kind of fan mindset that their opinions often carry a strong personal bias. That said, I wouldn’t expect complete objectivity from them - having subjective takes is what defines their style. These two male leads feel like one of the most convincing on-screen couples I’ve seen in Asian BL dramas. I wouldn’t say they’re the only pair with this kind of chemistry, but let’s be honest-BL has grown from a niche genre into a profitable industry over the past decade, and we’ve seen plenty of examples. It’s clear who benefits from this phenomenon. And it’s not the LGBT community-they’ve never really had a say. The true beneficiaries are those who use this platform to collect an easy paycheck, like Thai celebrities. When playing a romantic couple, there’s often a formula: head pats, face pinches, kisses on the cheek or forehead, and mutual smiles during eye contact. But once the relationship is established, do they actually feel like lovers? Often, the spark fades after the “falling in love” stage, and it starts to feel like two straight men forcing chemistry. In contrast, the leads in this series manage to avoid feeling forced, even during the romantic moments that come after their relationship is established. This might be because one actor is particularly skilled at immersing himself in the role, while the other - though relatively inexperienced - works well with his co-star. The only aspect where I somewhat agree with the “contrived” comment is that the romantic scenes don’t always transition smoothly with the storylines around them. And overall, Thai dramas often struggle to deliver much beyond the appeal of shipping the couple.

Bruh first thing that popped in my mind was Satang’s versatility, from being a more dense character and overall hostile/darker vibe in MSP to this, will never stop preaching how great of an actor he is, he can easily convince me it’s two different people rather than the same actor playing two extremely different characters, like I had to go back to MSP and watch him there to really be like “damn, it’s the same person” he is so great at filtering all the small details and mannerisms of each character, to a TTTTTT. And the acting? In episode 8 when Q finds out???? Child. Those felt like tears from the gut, my boy deserves everythingggggg.

So far what I understand is....both Boss n his sis made a plan to stole a ring n take revenge...but as his sis said.... They are not attacking a real enemy.... I think ...his sis thought that his bro only take revenge of his parents but He is now overpowered...so he wants to dominate all....more like he became Greedy...😅 But his sis was like.. I kinda agree that the dad came around a bit soon. The granny implanted the idea to him to fix his relationship with Joke, but based on his character I feel he would need a little more time before opening up to him. I would expect some baby steps first..😅 It was a cute scene, though..😊

The rollercoaster of emotions I went through this episode😭

Some of iqiyi translations are wrong which kinda sucks because it takes away from the story. Here are some corrections: (There are more, but I found these ones important) Joke asked his dad to 'ngor' = reconcile with/coax him, not just 'invite', that's why his dad said 'Fine, I'll reconcile w/ u' and he started to compliment Joke. Joke said 'Toiting is me and my faen's daughter' like it's a confirm statement not just 'like a daughter'. faen' should be 'lover' cuz it's gender neutral and his dad still didn't know who it is at this point. 'laan' means grandkids/niece/nephew so during that hospital scene, Joke's dad said 'Don't worry na, your child is like my grandkid' , not 'niece'. Jack called joke's dad 'Khun Por' which means father/dad, not 'Sir' in the hospital scene.

while i still dislike what sun did here (totally out of character, considering novel sun), i kind of think it’s not out of character of her. at first, i also thought of it that way, but then i backtracked a bit and remembered a few scenes. sun has this innate possessiveness. maybe because she’s portrayed here as an only child (though she has a brother in the novel). not saying that all only child are like sun (possessive as hell), but like, if sun grew up in an environment where all eyes are on her, i think it was inevitable. we got a glimpse of that possessiveness on ep 7 and then ongsa and sun became girlfriends. on ep 8, sun was very comfortable and open with her relationship with ongsa. she was so proud of it even. and then they had their first kiss. after that comes the swing scene with aylinluna where sun bragged about having a real kiss. here comes my sudden change of mind from thinking that sun was out of character to sun being in character. i concluded that when sun feels overwhelmed with emotions, she blurts out what causes that overwhelming feelings to put herself in balance or in an equilibrium. exhibit a: after their first kiss, it was beyond obvious that sun was euphoric and whatnot (positive overwhelming feeling), so she brags about the kiss with no hesitation. exhibit b: sun felt disappointment, anger, and frustration all at once (negative overwhelming feeling), so she, again without any hesitation, reveals her relationship with ongsa. still don’t like how they butchered the green flag sun in the novel.
