Can you compare dimarzio noiseless to fender ultra noiseless? Would be awesome!!! I'm really curious about the Dimarzio Virtual Vintage 54 Pro and Virtual Vintage Blues.
@ElvisSasha18 сағат бұрын
@@cgb1394 If people would donate some money to me, I would happily buy a lot of different pickups and make a comparison video. Maybe one day I will buy a Dimarzio and do a comparison with the ultranoiseless.

The Fat 60s are one of the few sets I have been wanting to try, but just haven't got to. Great comparison.
@VintageRadius12 күн бұрын
I’m probably going to put mine up on Reverb soon. Keep in mind they are quite overwound compared to most actual vintage 60s pickups and they use alnico II magnets which creates a warmer softer sound and kinda deadens the attack IMO. So they are too warm for me. I have the bass side set as low as the pickguard and the trebble at 3/64. So massively slanted. I think they could be great if you play loud gigs a lot with a very bright amp and you want to tame things down

@@benpowersguitar oh nice. I have the PV 59's which I much prefer to the Fat 60's neck/middle positions. But I do wish the Pure Vintage series came with increasing output from neck to bridge. The neck is great at 5.9k. I'd like it if it increased to the bridge at something like 6.2 or 6.4

In person they sound and feel very different. I have both sets and plan to sell the Fat 60’s because they are too warm for me. But I also play primarily at home through amps like a Princeton, low watt Friedman or direct with an HX Stomp. If I played a Deluxe Reverb loud at bars I might find more use for the fat 60’s as being easier to listen to

Once you have the height adjusted correctly, the V-mods are spectacular. Especially in a live/band context they pop out of the mix which is a pleasure. You know what the problem is? And that we fail to understand that everything we guitarists use should be tried, especially in a live context and not just at home alone. What may seem fantastic at home when you go to play with the band may not work. And I am also referring to pedals like overdrive/ distortion/ big muff / fuzz/ chorus/ delay, etc etc.
@ElvisSasha26 күн бұрын
@@silviolutti1522 You're absolutely right. That's what I do. I play every day with backing tracks on stage and I understand which pickups stand out in the mix and which ones don't. Especially on distortion.

Вот как раз звука Фендер и не хватает. Можете попробовать поменять звукосниматели, послушать что из этого получится. Эксперименты это всегда интересно. Если не понравится, всегда можно вернуть обратно, а звукосниматели продать.

Thanks for this comparison. It's very well done. For me, the 57-62 sounds like an ideal strat. It's dynamic, expressive, and has a great mid-range with a nice biting top end. The tex-mex, on the other hand, is...compressed and....hotter. I guess that's good for some? Very modern, I guess?
