If the person is sweaty or wet from rain would it make them more electricfied?
@peterhonigmann7264Ай бұрын
The effects are amplified - so definitely more pain compliance.

Would be scary if this got into the wrong hand(s) pun intended. But just thinking of those stories you hear about where children or women get abducted and won’t go into details to what kind of stories but can imagine something like this would be terrifying in their possession. Just saying. Hopefully you can control it remotely or have a gps device that can’t be turned off implemented inside it. If not. Good idea to make it with something like that.

They only sell it to police and Sherrifs correct?

Yes, it is just being sold to law enforcement.

Sure, the other person always has the ability to potentially fight back, which is why the GLOVE is only part of your response. The use of the GLOVE should be trained as part of any other combatives an officer could potentially use, since no one tool works 100% of the time. However, I will say that generally the people I tested the GLOVE on were so surprised by the unpleasant sensation that they didn't have time to react, and all I was doing was a simple grab. And also keep in mind that grabbing with the GLOVE is only part of the tactic, the officer should also be using this as part of a take down to get better control.

Just got certified today and this device works great. Took me down in about 2 seconds.

what happens if you grab the neck?
@peterhonigmann72646 ай бұрын
While still not enough to cause death, it will be far more painful. In situations where you need a higher level of force you can definitely go to the face or neck.

Cops have reported that it is effective even when people are on drugs. Of course, there is no guarantee that it will work on everyone in all situations, but I have been told by several cops that the GLOVE worked just as effectively on those people who are severely drunk or high on meth.

Correction ...the barbs of a TASER do most certainly go through clothes! Perhaps you meant a stun gun ?
@peterhonigmann72646 ай бұрын
Barbs can go through clothes, but it does depend on what type of clothing. Winter clothing can create a problem.
@BlackSmithWolves Жыл бұрын
So you're telling me, because it doesn't go through clothing, that it's useless in winter/cold/heavy rain states.
@bestdefenseconcepts2086 Жыл бұрын
While it is true, that it will not penetrate through clothing - there are still ways to find skin - from pulling up a shirt or jacket, to grabbing fingers (which are highly conductive) to applying to the throat or face in a life threatening confrontation.
@BlackSmithWolves Жыл бұрын
@@bestdefenseconcepts2086 That's a very situational solution to the glarly problem not to mention that this doesn't seem to cause rhabdomyolysis which is kind of important in a taser, which means while you are desperately grappling for some skin they will be able to beat the shit out of you LOL. If you are in these very specific situations you could force someone to go down but in most cases you'll be wishing you just spent 200+ dollars on something more effective, especially for those life threatening situations... Like ammo.

I can say that in all the actual uses I have done on people, it generally only takes 1 glove to drop a person within just a few seconds. It is of course even more effective when applied to the face.

James, we consider that a level 3 application (with Level 2 being grabs to the arms, legs, and back) where the officer is dealing with a deadly force attack. While the pain in the face will be extremely intense, due to all the nerves there, it will still be a non-lethal application of force that will not leave any scaring, marks or any other type of permanent injury.
