Thanks for this vid, trying to get as much info as possible on whether doing the CMD route is actually hikeable as there's very mixed views online, this really helped get a better idea. I figured the mixed views are mostly because people have different capabilities, but some people are saying you need specialist gear, including ice climbing gear?! Would you mind sharing what you found challenging about the walk? Was it mostly just the length/gradient? Im fine with scrambling, im mostly just worried that i'll come to a section im not prepared for and have to turn back - am i overthinking it? I've done other munros before without much difficulty, doing a highlands trip next week and am really hoping to do the CMD route 🤞

Planning on doing the Ben in October this year. My GF wants to the pony path as she's scared of the CMD route. Hopefully you're video will show her that it's actually a great achievable route!
@chasedavidsson6 ай бұрын
Absolutely achievable! Prior to me undertaking this route, I was a bit worried but after living in Ireland for a year and realizing that their “very dangerous” routes were nothing more than a modest difficulty in many mountainous countries, I thought it would be good to show others the difficulties and/or challenges. You guys got this and would love to hear if you make it happen! 💪🏼 Have a great time!

This racist and misogynistic name has been revoked by the community and it has been renamed Bald Eagle Peak. I suggest you remove your video to avoid any negative associations with racism and misogyny. You seem like a kind person and I.m sure you don't mean to be offensive.
@chasedavidsson8 ай бұрын
Hey! Thanks so much for letting me know that the community has come together to change the name. I won't take the video down per say because at the time of making the video, this was in fact the reality but I will however change all titles associated. Would never purposely be offensive or aim to be racist/misogynistic and the video is aimed at promoting the beauty of the hike. Cheers for the update!
