Sounds like the teacher I had in 1994 that was similar to this class . Huge class over 100 plus . Slides after slides. I did try an A. But don’t remember besides he was so boring

I appreciate the in depth video. One note, Orthodox Christians don't worship icons, we venerate them as we would a picture of a loved one who has passed away. ☦️

This is definitely my favorite of your lectures! I’m not one of your students but I really enjoy learning about art and your videos are very informative and helpful. Just wanted to say thank you!

This was great. I was really bummed out though when you skipped on the Mona Lisa and said we can't look at it with any objectivity... Because even though I know this is a famous painting, I don't know anything about it. I was hoping this was my moment of education to look at it differently. I'll Google about it.

The video is pretty good, but it's interesting how hard you try to avoid using the work "Christian". SO much of art history came from the Catholic Christian art.
@brendametube Жыл бұрын
Hmmm…. I didn’t hear her avoid that at all. However, because of the spiritual condition of the world today and the persecution of Christians, being a Christian myself, I would definitely introduce the influence, very strategically and intelligently in order to represent my Savior well. I would not just throw it out there to the swine to have what they will with, and twist the truth into their evil lies. No, I would be very strategic in order to honor my Father in heaven. I would also try not to judge others when I don’t even know them, and only God knows their heart.❤

How can I continue from here. I wanted to take Art History in college, but I couldn’t fit it into my schedule. This looks like it will be fascinating!

Actually the Bible doesn't say Jonah was swallowed by a whale but by a fish in the Old Testament and a sea monster in the New Testament. Various sea monsters are mentioned in the Bible like Leviathan that at least in one place had multiple heads.

I just look at history but it has systematically ignored history of east Asia..from Indus valley (3300 BC) ..till Aryabhatta (400 BC)till Sushruta (800 BC) , Kanada (4 BC)....Kalidasa(4th BC) why ? There were so many beautiful, maths perfect Architectures and Scientific advancement in India all ignored !..
