You forgot about the awesome bands that are Canadian. Bands like Triumph, Trooper, Rush, Headpins, Lee Aaron, Loverboy, Kick Axe, Guess Who, Wide Mouth Mason, Brian Adams, Diemonds, Aldo Nova and my personal favourite, Helix. There are many other bands tht deserve mention but y'all get my point. Canada has produced some of the best music in the world.

How about a different concept? Lets add 5 US states to make Canada a country with 15 Provinces. Which ones to add??? Well lets start with one that would put us one step closer to Trumps buddy mister Putine. Yup! add Alaska to the place where it belongs -- Northern Canada. Well, now that we have added more cold, lets add something warm -- indeed. Hawaii!!! Add another portion of the US with an equal population to Canada currently -- indeed -- California. Heck then we would have Hollywood and Hollywood North. Are we beginning to cook with gas? Yes we have lots of that and it would be perfect for all the cars not only produced in Ontario by the same firms but then could make ease of moving parts to and from the US by adding Michigan. There we go the first one right across the bridge at one area of the Great Lakes. Our last choice from this fine selections of the lottery like the NBA, NHL, MLB etc. changing the structure of professional sport. The last state to be added to now have 15 Provinces. It too is right across the bridge between Ontario and where? Oh, Yes!! Lets add number 5 which adds to 25 -- Yup! You guessed it. NY. Ronald the Donald can't match this and we won't even ask to trade. Just let your people go. Happy 2025 and looking forward to never having to vote for Donnie ever and evermore.

It's easy, if we become the 51st state, we all vote against Trump or wannabe Trump. Trump won by small margins, we will be able to legally fix that.

The sooner we stop reacting AT ALL to Trump's ignorant (yes, in the true sense of the word) flippant remarks, the better off we all will be. He has never made one intelligent statement in the last 10 years, and I doubt he will start now, so until he is actually president, totally ignore him. Let's also start examining labels, and stop purchasing US products (preferably not in favour of Chinese products). If he slaps tariffs on our goods, our government will have to do the same, and if you add 25% to goods which are already 30% higher thanks to the difference in the dollars, we won't be able to afford them anyway. So let's give hime a bit of Canadian advice - " Take a hike eh, hoser."

Speaking as an American, he's not my president, I didn't vote for him, and I'd move to Canada in a quick second. I wouldn't complain if Canada decided to annex the West Coast.

As a Canadian who served 25 years in the RCAF and worked with American military , Trump is an absolute moron and an embarrassment to America. I walked into a hospital emergency room complaining of a possible heart attack and 15 minutes later after a quick blood test I was admitted and a week later was sent to Victoria hospital by ambulance then had an angiogram test with the results confirming a 5 way bypass.1 week later I had my open heart surgery. IF I was an American it would bankrupt my families future. So piss off Trump !

Did you say 7.9 hours to see a doctor??? Wow, that's bad. In China, as a Canadian, I can go into a hospital or clinic and be seen within half an hour, and completely tested and out the door with bloodwork and tests done within a few hours. Results are emailed the next day! As for fees? A full checkup cost the equivalent of $100 CDN - which is better? I would rather pay $100 and be in and out quickly than have to wait all day in pain in an unfriendly environment. Free is not always good. And its not actually free - if you are working and paying taxes, you are paying hundreds of dollars each year on your taxes. If I only go once to the doctors a year, I am much better off paying out of pocket for that.

You don't get it guys. The AGENDA is to take over the US (!), Canada and Mexico. plus Central America it seems. Why? To consolidate the existing nation states into one autocratic polity stretching from the USSR near Alaska to South America near Panama. To accomplish this the immediate PLAN is to destabilise the economies of the existing nation states (tariffs, curtailment of social programs, watch for control of the banks). This to cause such mayhem that military arranged stability will be WELCOMED by the internal North American population. (Yeah right, unrealistic to think militarism will be welcomed, but that's the plan.)

While many treat Trump's comments as a joke, he's now saying the US should expand and take the Panama Canal (saying, "After all we built it"), Greenland and Canada. Trump is not making jokes. He's testing the waters, looking at the response. This is precisely the tactic Hitler used in the 1930s, saying first that he wanted just that part of Czechoslovakia called the Sudetenland, and that the people there were ethnically German and *wanted* to live under a German government. On Sept 30, 1938 numerous European countries, hoping to appease Hitler, agreed he could annex the Sudetenland in "The Munich Agreement". By the 1st of December he had swept across half of Europe and the term "The Munich Agreement" has become "a byword for the futility of appeasing expansionist totalitarian states." The Danish who own Greenland have already told him where he can stuff his ideas about Greenland, not sure if the Panamanians have responded. Our Parliamentarians need to work together, if they can do so without bursting into flame, and send a letter telling him in no uncertain terms that Canadians are not interested in being part of the US, that our cultures and values are miles apart, and he'd be better served working on projects at home which need attention. When you compare the metrics it's clear Canada is ahead in many areas which Americans are in despair over. America's education system, avg $$ spent on health care, Longevity, # of deaths from firearms, # of citizens who live in poverty; all of which are inferior to Canada's scores in every case. Education Systems: Canada, 63% of Canadians 25 - 64 have completed college. Canada ranks as the most educated country. 50% of Americans 25-64 have completed college. Average $$ spent on health care annually, Canada - through taxation $2,000; USA - through insurance and cash $8,000; Longevity; A Canadian woman is expected to live 84.91 years. A man 80.53. An American woman's life expectancy is 81.98 years, and a man's 77.05. # of deaths from firearms Canada; 1/2 of 1% every 100,000 people; by Suicide 686 people, Homicides 0.62 of 1% of every 100,000; USA; by Suicide 23,365 people; Homicides, 4.5% every 100,000 people, # of citizens who live in poverty; Canada, 9.9% USA 12.9%; So Trump has some catching up to do before he tries annexing countries who because of their dreaded "socialist" ideas, are performing better for their citizens. 😊

76% of exports to the US? You do realize the overwhelming majority of those companies are owned by American investors. The USA definitely needs to bring in all provinces west of Ontario into the Union as a good start. Eventually the eastern provinces as well, and Greenland as unincorporated territory for resource development. This is about regional strategic security that goes far beyond the average everyday concern (Healthcare, crime rates, etc). Don't worry. Hockey, Poutine, and Tim Hortons are perfectly safe.

Merry Christmas, Joyeux Noël to Pres-elect Trump from one of those Canadians who you think wants to become part of your sad and divided nation. No thank you, merci non! In Canada, we do pay high taxes, but we get so much in return: universal healthcare, dental care, pharma-care, reproductive choice, $10 a day daycare, very generous child and youth benefits from birth to 18, maternity and paternity leaves, national school food program, excellent educational system, and so much more. We live in an amazing country where multiculturalism is embraced, diversity makes us stronger and socialism means we take care of the most vulnerable in our society - the young, the old, the sick, the poor happily. We also value intelligence, truth and fair play, qualities lacking in you, sir, as you waste all this time trolling sovereign nations. You take 'bullying' to new narcissistic heights. Our 10-year serving Honourable Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has been respectful to you as you continue to insult him and our nation. The only military protection we need seems to be against YOU! Stop coveting Canada because you want our critical minerals, raw materials, oil, gas, clean electricity, water, etc. for free. Subsidies indeed! The USMCA Trade Agreement, which you had a hand in, works well for both our countries, just as tariffs will hurt both our economies mightily. Why bring on a trade war? Canadian 5-year-olds understand what you're doing and how you operate: you distort facts as in openly lie, create chaos with outrageous threats, worry everyone into jumping to appease you. You are a creep and convicted criminal who is drunk with power and you need a taste of your own venom. You are the Putin admiring insurrectionist who chips away at your constitution and democracy daily. Why would any smart, kind Canadian ever wish to be part of an America where half of your citizens actually thought it would be a good idea to put you back in charge, where you have more guns than people, where your NRA members love their guns more than their children, where an illness can financially wipe out a family? Maga caps on too tightly maybe? Scary! And for the record, you are not bilingual.
