I'm quite familiar with the New Jersey related documentaries but never saw this one. I knew both John Cunningham who did the script and Henry Charles who had a studio in his home on Plainfield Avenue in Edison. This is a fine film, made about 40 years ago. Sadly now, too many warehouses, too much traffic. Every day there are jams on all the major highways.

Actually it was 1927 where sound really came to play with the jazz singer, 1928 was the debut of another star with sound, Mickey Mouse in Steamboat Willie which was played alongside a film called Gang War, which is now considered Lost today since no footage from the film has ever resurfaced online
