Finally getting my motor put in this week. I’ve got pcm for less tuning, 383 forged internals 11.5-1 comp... clear image headers and all I’m waiting for is the intake and I can finish the damn thing. Who tuned yours? Are you still on optispark or did you go over to ls1 coils?

Should be zero drone above 1000 RPM. I never experienced any drone with mine even with an off-road X-pipe or the stock H-pipe. The FR500S mufflers are awesome.

Nice sounding fox. The FMS cams always sound good, just wish they were dual pattern. Which flows do you have on it?

I also had a Diablo Chip installed for an idle tune, which raised my idle to 800 RPMS and reduced the HO2S function.

This is what I did: FRPP E-303 Camshaft 1.7 Roller Rockers New Lifters Stiffer than stock valve springs Hardened Push Rods Tall Valve Covers to clear massive rocker arms Intake Space for stock intake manifold I still had stock injectors in there ,too.

Did u replace any other valvetrain parts? I'd like to with the same cam for my '91 Auto. Im just wondering if i need to replace the springs, rocker arms etc..

o ok so you put all the parts you last to get it like that .valve springs 1.7 rockers.pushrods and new timeing chain....then i guess ill do it that way to THANKS for the info

Not necessarily, but they are supporting mods. If you want your car to sound THIS good, yes, you need to upgrade the rest of the valvetrain. A good technician would recommend those parts.

I never dyno tested the car... The motor was mostly stock, anyways.

Yes, it has a cam. It wouldn't run without a camshaft... I used the FRPP E-303 camshaft. The rest of the motor is stock. I would recommed stiffer valve springs than factory and a good set of 1.7 roller rockers. Hardened pushrods and a new timing chain wouldn't hurt, either. I had no issues with piston to valve clearance.

I'm not sure of the backspacing. I got them from American Muscle: chrome-cobrar-17x10-8793.html Had to massage the inner fenderwells to get them to fit with 315 wide drag radials.
