This is one of the all-time great Panorama tunes. It follows "Pan in Danger" in 1985, which should have won the competition the previous year. Sugar for Pan by the Mighty Terror, a classical composition by Clive Bradley, again elevates the steelband panorama tune into a high music status. Both these tunes are underrated pieces of pure music that are authentic panorama classical tunes. Again, it shows that winning tunes are only sometimes the best.

This was birdsong "pan for the people" tho never won a panorama this band use to fuck the track up. I've seen bands destroy the track. This band use to fuck up the track. They were masters of the track. That bass line was crazy. Carib, Pele, Debbie, the two Shaka's, Marcia, Crack head Roy, Tony an Junia English from the UK, plus their two drummers. White Boy been one of the baddest drummers at the time with Boucher from Antigua. Sadly they never lived up to the hype to this day, how many ppl know birdsong had Desmond Waite playing cellos an helping Earl Wright in drilling the band, also the late great Pat Bishop was the drill master "tonight it's Aunty Kay, next contestant to the stage" you hear that an knew one time it was play by your self. Dagga Hall was fun in those days. Girls like mad playing with the band. Two bands that had the most amount of women were birdsong an Pandemonium. I truly miss those days when. Birdsong was the top party band

I apologize for not thanking Mr Seebaran. THANK YOU SIR, for making this available especially for people like me. There's a lot of material from this band from earlier year's that are not aired, wish that could change.

One of my most memorable performances I had with this band and for the records, I was the member who suggested this tune, after hearing it in an old year''s night fete. Many member's wasn't in favor of this tune including Frankie the captain at that time, saying it wasn't panorama material, what they didn't see was the energy and mood which was generated, but after Boogsie asked if any body had a recording of it which he got, the moment he put the verse and chorus together you could see the body language of the member's, everybody was swaying and enjoying the moment. No other band played that composition as far as I remember, so right there we realize that this was going to mashup the place especially with the hook line Nanni wine, when Crazy heard we were playing his composition he came to the panyard and thank us and promise to appear with us onstage, for prelims I remember our appearance was around 5: 00pm the sun was just about to set, when we unleash that rendition on the Bull tracks the place turned upside down the crowd didn't want us to stop and we weren't onstage as yet. It was an incredible arrangement from Boogsie. From preliminaries to zonal finals we were in Control, winning the East zone going on to National finals where we were hot favorites, but the band faulted in it's performance that night thank's to the bass section after failing to come back into the arrangement after an interval where the frontline was running a tassa beat. All frontline player's looked at each other asking what was going on but kept playing until the bass section eventually got back to the right timing but the damage was already done and the whole Savanah crowd plus the judges heard it. As we exited the stage we were greeted with disappointment cause we had already set that place on fire and was told by many that we blew it. Much more to this story but that's it for now. Much love to all the contributing member's of that era especially the stageside member's cause we were on a roll doing a lot of gig's and charitable work, built a nice pan theater our own design all with labour from member's and funds from the government.
