For me...solod ex ept the acog...acog is best for a platform that your shooting 200 yards out...short barrel like that id go for a red dot system with magnifier or lpvo if you want the long with it...just not burning enough powder to push it far enough to make the acog worth it

i been thinking about doing this when with airsoft guns when i want to make a clone rifle or a inspired build but then where i live theres no arenas near me but im a grown man now so i can easily just buy the real deal parts and take it to a local range and show off lol, but nice built none of the less, id recommend tryng to just flip up the sight and push the peq close enough to it because im sure you wont see a difference if you had it up vs down, so that way at least you can almost clamp it but yeah the mk18 builds i see like this are always clunky and it wont be comfortable with the acog eye relief even though its a vibe i gotta admit with the optics community that the eye relief is booty you gotta have the stock completely collapsed to even get a good eye picture sadly, so maybe get a eotech+magnifier combo or t1+magnifier combo so you can adjust your buttstock to how you like. its a a good inspired cloner build if your pockets are deep enough man id say keep going and building these clones. and if you ever need good reference you can check out clonerifles.com/theclones click on the the build you wanna check out and they have all the parts used and issued by the US gov. pretty cool stuff. just my 2 cents tho ps with the front sight you can also out it backwards so its pointing out, seen these done alot of times

Move your handstop closer towards you, you are supposed to be able to get your hand around the rail and use the stop to apply pressure down while shooting.

I have an all origional model 12 made in 1918, and it's gotta be worth maybe $200-$250. My point being, it's one of the best/cheapest shotguns you can buy, when you can find them. If you can't afford taco bell after spending maybe $300 on a shotgun, it just means that you're broke, and shouldn't of spent your last $300 on a bird gun. 😂
