Wonderful playing. Amazing dynamic control from the clarinettist and tone is beautiful on the bassoon. Piano is just out of this world! The balance of the 3 instruments is superb.

It’s so weird, that the composer wrote this piece after his daughter died and he put all his grief in this piece. Yet the interpreters are smiling to each other and having a funny time. It’s so disrespectful to Smetana.

This is spot-on right, light as a soufflé, with the piano never burying the oboe and bassoon, impressive clarity of sound, if a wee bit distant. The slower tempos move a little more than I'm used to, which suppresses the mawkishness to which Poulenc sometimes leaves the door open. The wind playing is adorably smooth and controlled.
