These nozzles, especially the drivers side (UK) seem to fail every 18 months or so. I wonder if the rubber/plastic wee value inside them are deforming with summer heat? until they block 😲

So far so good with the cheap replacements mentioned in the video, and I ended up with an extra set by accident. Whether I can find them when needed is the next challenge! 😃

Great video, thanks very much! Cost me less than a tenner and took under an hour to fix. Kia wanted £145 👍🏻

Glad you found it helpful, I still have the Sportage and the cheapo nozzles I fitted are still working fine! 😀 It would seem you can fit them without taking off a lot of bits I did, but it's not difficult and does allow you to check the lines aren't blocked etc..

What species of lobotomised orangutans design these car systems?? All this fuss to change a couple of plastic nozzles!

I think it's possible to do it without taking a lot of that stuff off, but good to check the pipes aren't loose / blocked elsewhere. Not like it's a long or complicated job to do though!

I just followed this really informative video however my washer jets still didn’t work. The problem turned out to be black bacterial sludge in the reservoir. So a suggestion before taking the whole scuttle out to replace the jets is to disconnect the pipe that feeds into the scuttle to see if fluid is getting that far. I solved the sludge problem by syphoning out the fluid from the reservoir and filling it with water mixed with a cup full of bleach, and running this through the pump and pipe into a jug in the engine bay, and repeating this several times until maximum pressure was achieved, then reconnecting the pipe to the scuttle.

As someone else has mentioned also, but it's certainly not clear that you won't pull the hose off at the back doing it that way. It's not like it takes long to take it apart, like 5mins, and then you can check for blockages elsewhere. I may well give it a try next time though.

Hi, anyway of getting hose back on that way, hose after blowing off , spraying out through grid near it, could I fish out back out jet hole without taking all apart?

Quicker way. Stanley blade under squirter Cut top off. Two small screw drivers push the plastiic clips in and pops the squirter out. Replace .10mins .max.

Hi, you're a star mate, the pipe had popped off my driver's side front jet, I watched your video and with a screwdriver, socket, a few drops of super-glue and double-sided tape it was sorted within an hour following your tips - BTW my car is a Kia Soul - Thank You!!

Glad you found it useful. Sounds like the Soul must be similar in design then.

If you look at the replacement jets they clip in place by 2 tags front & back, To replace the jets all you have to do is remove the old ones by inserting a blade at the front of the jet to free the tag lifting the jet up & then the rear tag while keeping the front one up. Pull old jet off & replace , but you will need to test the tube is clear by operating the pump before fitting the new jet.

Would certainly save a fair bit of time. I didn't mind taking it all apart so much though, as I found it useful to check the system wasn't blocked elsewhere.

Yeah, I think it should definitely be a warranty fix in the first few years. Apparently some dealers will do this, a bit hit and miss!

Hi, not yet no. It's been to the Citroen dealer 3 times, they recently replaced the telematics unit which controls the display but it's still doing the same thing. The car is with them again at the moment. Hopefully on the 3rd attempt they can fix it!

@@tombegley3429 Sorry for the slow reply, didn't see a notification for this. I believe the final fix was replacing the screen. There was also a control unit inside the dash that was replaced, but this made no difference and the issue persisted. There was also a suggestion that having faulty leads plugged into the USB ports may contribute, but it definitely wasn't that in our case. Luckily the work we had done to fix it was covered under a dealer warranty. Was about £3000 pounds worth.
