People say this piece is one of the hardest on the piano but it's really not. But, I will say it is not easy because I myself have been struggling to relax my hands as my muscles always build tension when playing the piece which is a big problem as it slows you down and makes your hands feel really tired throughout the piece which makes it so you can't play anymore. But if you have that figured out it is just fingering which is pretty easy actually especially if you have a private music teacher that gives you advice and shows you how you can get better at playing the piece. I myself have figured out how to play the first page at a good fast pace, even though it is not perfect and you build tension so you are not fast enough you just have to keep practising. I recommend practising the piece in short, quick semitones as it will help you get the speed you want. Remember the piece is pp (very soft) which means that Rimsky wanted you to play it very relaxed judging the speed of the piece. If anyone came across this comment and you are learning this piece I wish you a lot of good luck :)

I can see the look on that fathers face, many people over look it but that is a face full of pride. As a pianist i would be proud too. That kid has a big history coming towards him, i just hope he doesn’t go down the wrong path

I love the circus, but RB&BB had slowly morphed over the years into a Vegas style review. There were some great circus acts, but the music, the dance routines, etc.....it's not the circus. Once they had to give up the elephants..and would have lost the wild cats as well...it was a shadow of its former self.
