You need to pull the entire dash to remove the passenger side vent.

Hi, I recently received your product and just repaired both center and driver side air vents (LHD) They work like new and I’m very happy with them ! I’m currently working on passenger. First of all, removing the passenger side air vent is a pain in the ass but possible. I basically had to unbolt the dash and move it forward in order to access the two screws, particularly the far right corner one. Now I did run into some major problems. 1 in your video you mentioned that the long pieces with holes that allow you to move fins are more pliable then OEM. I believe that to be true, but let me mention to others that they will in fact break if bent too much so be careful! I actually broke one and I didn’t really bend it all that much (at least I didn’t think I did) Thankfully I didn’t need that component for the center vents. 2. Just now I had a REALLY hard time pushing my fins through the long adjusting arm. So much so I grabbed some silicone spray hoping that would help them slide through. That didn’t work. I debated on taking a very small drill or pin and trying to wallow it out a bit more. Every time I did get one to snap in it would pop through and stab tf out of my finger. I tried cleaning the ends and anything I could think of to make the fin pop in easier but couldn’t and ended up breaking the middle adjuster fin arm that goes through the hole. So now I just had to order a passenger side vent on EBay because I can’t think of a solution. Obviously I’d imagine you want a tight fit and there’s tight tolerances, but I found that on some fins they would pop through relatively easily like on this video while others I’m straining trying to push them through putting stress on the arm and fin pieces. So my advice to others is take your time, work in a clean well lit area and make sure the ends of the fins are clean with debris and the holes are even or you’ll end up breaking them like I did mine. I’m probably going to order an additional repair kit for a back up. Overall I think this is a great product and I’m glad you’re offering it. I probably should have contacted you once I ran into problems but I was so excited to finally have my vents fixed I started work right away lol

Hey Sentree, Thanks for your feedback and glad it's worked so far. I'm sorry to hear about your fin issue - I have a few spare center fins so I can send you one if you'd like. Unfortunately the Toyota fin castings change shape over time with heat and UV which can make it really difficult to install and difficult to get the arm hole sizing right. Can you please email me a photo of the arms included in your kit? email: [email protected]. We recommend twisting the fin back and forth as you are pushing it in, and if it is really tight use a very small flat blade screwdriver to enlarge the arm hole slightly (we will produce an updated video) Please get in touch if you have any other issues, comments or suggestions. Thanks! Eric
