The original soundtrack always made me imagine Doom Guy rock climbing just to traverse this perilous wasteland, I don't think the good ole guitar is what makes it better though.

I can never understand why this map exists... The starting room, meh. The end room, yughck. The darkness dodgeballs room, this is not worth my time imma just cheat real quick. Everything in between, UGH. The soundtrack isn't even upbeat, like the map has depressed it to the point where it wants to shine but doesn't. I understand nothing about it's appeal!

I've come to admire the original soundtrack, it's as atmospheric as Plutonia's Death's Toll. Also, like many TNT maps it's cool in theory, but annoying in reality. Like this map, it means to tell a story, especially with the teleporting sequence at the end... But it is just so sloppily put together! No matter how many cool versions of this soundtrack there is (Including this one, good job!) the sins TNT makes in this map is just unforgivable! LIKE THE EXIT SWITCH IS JUST A SIGN THAT SAYS EXIT, I DIDN'T KNOW I HAD TO PRESS THE RANDOM SIGN IN THE MIDDLE OF ALL THE ROCK FACES IN THE CANYON TO ESCAPE SUCH A NIGHTMARE. *Sigh* It's babies first WAD, I can't be too hard on them... Still, Habitat I'm sure was made just to make people $#!T themself out of anger!

Recently replayed TNT in the Nightdive remaster. Say what you want about the level design but that soundtrack is bloody fantastic. Awesome cover!

Ironically enough, I was thinking about this soundtrack again recently. Every once in a while when I'm loading up my orchestral samples, I can't help but think about how cool this OST would sound if I remade it using those libraries/samples. Definitely want to do this some day, since as of now, this is still my only original release that showcases my soundtrack/orchestral style. Also, as for my Reverbnation, I've temporarily hidden it, since I hardly get any activity/hits over there. That, and I want to kinda revamp my profile over there before I relaunch it. Having preview snippets of my favorite parts of the redux tracks and also cleaning out the videos section. Apparently, they have a silly limit to the number of videos that you can link to your profile. Not sure why, since its not like they're hosting them.

01:37 - A very astute take on the stringsy sounding textures Bobby Prince added towards the end of Waiting For Romero To Play. Also a very solid interpretation overall. Pantera and DOOM 2 during the Spanish Renaissance. Nice slow tempo, nice and quiet. If the compression and technology had permitted it, something very close to this version was clearly what Mr. Prince had in mind. Bravo!
