Two questions. 1.) Can you recommend a decent electric wall/ceiling sander like you used. I'm just a home user & not a professional. So an affordable one is fine since I'm only doing a few rooms. 2.) Ceiling paint options for kitchen to dining room transitions. Typically see gloss style in kitchen (easier to clean) and something matte in other rooms. I personally like the matte look. Is there a paint that can cover both?
@DIYhomeimprovementguy57 минут бұрын
I really like the InoKraft Drywall Sander. I made a video where using it. You can check it out here kzbin.info/www/bejne/j56bZoqHrtRgf7csi=c_TxrbpoXWUgmRUQ It's less than $200 and will do the job. As far as paint, I always suggest an eggshell finish for your walls. It's a happy medium between matte and semi glossy. Sherwin Williams Emerald is nice because it's durable and easier to clean. Benjamin Aura is another paint I can suggest. If you insist on Matte then I'd get Emerald Designer from Sherwin Williams. It's more expensive but it's a matte that you can actually clean. Have them give you sample sheets so you can see the difference in sheen. Hope that helps!

Yeah no that it doesn't work that easily. Because the cock gets underneath of in between the tub and the wall or the tub and the splash guard.

FOR TRANSPARENCY: I'm not sponsored by the brand, actually bought the sprayer from Amazon, and this is an unbiased opinion.
@beholdcaesar10 күн бұрын
You did not disclose whether you were sponsored by the the sprayer company, or if you bought it with your own $$, nor did you say anything about why you picked that unknown brand sprayer. smells fishy
@DIYhomeimprovementguy10 күн бұрын
Legally, I would have to say if I'm sponsored, but I purchased the sprayer with my money from Amazon to do a tutorial. Nothing fishy about that 👍

How has that paint job held up overtime? Especially on the left side upper portion where the vent steams out from?? I have the same machine & did this with different products, spray paint, and it’s beginning to look rough and considering going this route to redo it! Yours looks absolutely gorgeous!!

Thank you! The video clear coat is actually really good. It's like Polycrylic and is pretty durable for being a water-based product. I replaced it before it actually wore out, but i had it for a few years after refinishing it.

Thank you! I agree; the rope is not everyone's favorite. I saw it on Pinterest, which reminded me of a chest my great-grandmother used to have. That's where she kept her cookie tins full of sewing stuff. It brought back memories, and I just had to make them 😄

I use Benjamin Moore Aura after priming my indoor dining room walls with BIN primer and a month or so later I noticed these spider web like cracks which peels off in sections. BIN primer dryer for at least over night. I can only conclude it had to be the AURA. I’ve never experienced this reaction before. Any other possible reasons you can think of?
