Not saying this because I watched their videos before when they were active but after hearing their part of the story, I as an individual found them genuinely sorry for what happened. my friend sent me this after dukos latest video. where you have concrete evidence of feminine people being treated badly (pearl is nonbinary iirc), his was almost a giant nothingburger. he just complained that hes burnt out and cant make certain jokes without getting dogpiled and all the comments agreed and one even referencing you and how you spoke about misogyny. people praise zeez for literally nothing. he breathes and gets praised. how many people he was friends with have been outed for either being genuinely terrible (fatphobic, racist, misogynistic) or being friends with a genuine predator (yes it was unknowingly at the time) and yet he only made a single black screen unlisted video. he doesnt care about his community imo, i think the men adore the attention and how they can do anything and be defended. cherry wine is honestly one of the few idv creators i have consistently watched over the years (along with geishagaming and bleber) and its so frustrating seeing any of them get any negative comments because they are never in good faith. i got burnt out and quit idv years ago, but i still watch certain creators (i would watch some of yours, sad to see you left) or tournaments because thats as much as i can stand. idv is fun until it isnt. i used to throw away so much just to have that limited tag or full collection, but for what? the slurs and hate people spew left and right and bigger creators just ignoring it happening because "this is a safe space" when all they do is force others to shut up and deal with whatever their rabid fans with parasocial relationships do to them is wild. zeez used to have a mod (who was a fatphobe and misogynist. go figure) and i will never forget him not paying attention to their comments until they spent like $50 on stream. when people realizea lot of these guys dont care about a true "safe space" and more about having an audience catered to them who will devote their lives to them is when the idv community can START being better.

Oh my GOD I’m so thankful this video exists. I just know people are gonna be annoying and be misogynistic about this video, because they hate being told that they’re wrong. This community will try to gaslight the fuck out of you, and tell you that your experiences are invalid, or that these things didn’t happen, or that ‘you’re remembering things wrong’ or that ‘there’s more context’ even though the context is literally just shit that the community made up because there was nothing really wrong with the content creator in the first place, and they just wanted shit to be mad about.

I just recently started playing IDV and I have no clue whether I should continue playing the game or not. I like the game but the community is just toxic. I'm sometimes scared to play certain characters (Psychologist for example) because I'm going to end up getting targeted a lot.

The amount of times I have seen female creators i've loved get not just bullied, but straight up HARASSED to the point they not only leave the idv community, but the internet in general is more than just sad atp... like it's genuinely sickening. Some men in this community have been exposed for genuine terrible shit, but a female creator will get cancelled simply because of the way they play the game or their voice and appearance. I'm not going to call out any creator in specific, but there is this one youtuber who has posted videos of him literally crashing out and getting mad for no reason in games and people COMFORT him in the comments. Never in my life have i seen ppl react that way to any female creator who has done the same thing, they are literally always met with mockery and criticism. Not only that but people's love for hate trains is SO BAD in this community that they will harass and force a clearly mentally ill teenager to open up about her trauma just to get people to stop, only to STILL harass her anyways. and also: i will never forget the hate characters like ada, marg and annie got for things they've done in their lore while male characters who did the same (if not worse) were never subjected to that kind of treatment ( literally majority of the idv cast is purposely written to be morally grey so like... obviously the female charas aren't gonna always be saints? lmao). the fact that people have always picked and chosen when something was so disgusting that anyone who liked the character was crazy to: "it's just fiction and isn't that serious" is getting realllll old.😐 but what overall makes me just sad is that so many people who join in on these hate campaigns for real life people (who majority of times did literally nothing) are women. How do you, as a woman, have so much hate for people of your own gender?? They literally kiss the asses of so many men is this community who don't even gaf about them at all. That amount of internalized misogyny just makes me feel so exhausted.

there’s a male idv content creator/streamer (pxxxxxx3) who got called out and canceled for grooming a teenager but only because the girl posted proofs. Even then, some ppl think the girl was being crazy, ignoring the fact that the guy indeed groomed a teenager. Other than that, I agree with most of the things you said about misogyny. Clearly there are double standards between male and female creators. Cherry Wine and GG getting attacked is the funniest thing I’ll ever see. 😂 Even before I watched this vid, I like every other content creator except nub and 1st soldier. Reason? Just because lol.

as a male myself im fucking disgusted by this community and im sorry to hear about all the stuff you and other female creators have been through. i knew about some of these dramas such as the nubspector lgbtq bs, and ngl just the other day when i was playing bloody queen in a quick match some guy got so angry with me he sent multiple angry voice messages in the post game chat (personally i cant lie i find it funny because its so childish) luckily i reported him after the incident and hopefully got this guy banned but again i think its just so stupid how boys in this community get away with all the stupid shit they pull without any repercussions or punishment and i definitely think this situation needs to be talked about on a bigger scale

dead by daylight player here. wasn't really a fan of IDV but i've enjoyed some of your videos x) we have similar problems in DBD but our community is tad bigger. what really helped me is meeting friends within the game, and some good friendships went outside of the game. playing solo is really rough, playing in party with friends is much more enjoyable and fun!
