Then I turned 12... and found Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer, Anthrax, Led Zeppelin, Van Halen, Queen, Deep Purple, Aerosmith, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, Alice Cooper(band), AC/DC, Cream, The Doors, GNR. Jimi Hendrix, Rainbow, Rush, Scorpions, and the list goes on. It's kind of varied, but all of these are great!

Most bands, even metal bands, initially write their guitar parts acoustically. Some have the balls to keep an original version and include it as a bonus track.
