Mike became the focus after the first or second season instead of focusing on the parents Mike became the protagonist bc of KC's immediate popularity and wiseass sesnse of comedic timing

Yeah, that's when I stopped watching, cause I liked scenes like this since I was the late third kid like Ben.

The chemistry/dialogue is very different between the unaired pilot and the final aired first episode.
@TELLViSiON2 жыл бұрын
Wow! First time I am seeing this. Never knew there was another Carol Seaver. Unaired pilots are fun. Otherwise I was looking for the meta episode in which Jeremy Miller breaks the fourth wall and realize is in a sitcom, freaks out and escapes from the technical crew and other staff members by running into the audience… which episode is that?

I never liked this show when new.Ben was the only funny kid on it.I hated that Mike, and never understood why the girls on the show liked him.He was ugly, he irked me, and even when he was in college his voice squeeked like a 13 year old boys'.He was unruly because his parents never punished him, and he was a moron.All Carol ever did was whine, and Mike had the nerve to insult her alot.She should have snapped at him with "You can call me all you want but at least I am not a moron with a butt ugly face!"

I lasted until Season 4, episode 9 with this series. I remember in college the feminists applauded Maggie for being a "real career woman" and those of us whose planned to work until the first child arrived were irritated when they hired a nanny.

I remember the day I asked myself that question was the beginning of the end of watching that show. Of course back in the late 80's there wasn't Facebook or KZbin where you could drive a Mack Truck through the plot hole, you just shrugged it off and started watching a different show (yes I know the show started in 1985. I watched it until Season 4, episode 9 which aired in 1989).

So many guns and scenes of violence ! Shocking !! Surely your college students can produce more unique forms of artistic expression without having to resort or pampering to American action pap. Perhaps too stimulated by their teachers and mentors, maybe ? Gun culture ? NZ ? Surely not !
