I do wonder why this isn’t done automatically in the slicer, there is obviously enough information in that model file to do this.

I think there’s a better way. I took the tubes out of my ams first, and then took it out of the printer, which was way easier.

I worry that so many people that are trying to make make money from 3D printing are effectively all trying to sell the same things. Which is ironic because 3D printing is truly meant to let you be creatively free, yet it feels like 90% are making fidget spinners.

For anyone who doesn’t know you can use rubbing alcohol on the build plate to make stuff stick but you must use a soft cloth

If you’re lazy like me, you buy the adapter from BL and add it in between the External and one of the AMS ports, it will allow the AMS to function normally and you can load the External manually without having to move the PTFE tube.

Well, when I got my 3-D printer, I really wanted it because it was cool and I was really excited about it cause I was really creative and I love doing it and then people wanted me to sell them so that’s how I became selling it

@3DPrintStuff4 күн бұрын
Yup, they add a ton of time and wasted filament. If you’re going to do multicolor you should plan to print multiple copies because it will create a better model to poop and time ratio.

I had this same idea, found out the same way that it will demagnetize them lol, but when I'm desperate I heat the magnet hole itself with a heat gun then press the magnet into that carefully and it works pretty well actually in a pinch Like others have said a dab of glue is good but if you can just insert them while printing with proper tolerances they will never move or be removed
@rici_rowdy7 күн бұрын
Be careful, heat will damage the magnetic force.

I wasn't planning on making money off of my printer, but so far it hasn't been bad. My best deal was having to print the top of knobs for a studio mixing desk. 300 pieces (2 hour print per batch of a 100), cost of filament was low (they weight next to nothing) and instead of money I got two days at their studio for it with an engineer. This saved me upwards of 600 euros alone. Besides this I've printed small things for friends and family, and I do ask money for it. Not a ton, but all those small amounts do at up.

@3D Print Stuff Which Solid Works Maker are you using? The cloud app or the local install version? Are people having issues with both? I was considering the local install version so I wouldn't have to worry about internet connection, plus the ability to save files locally, rather than the cloud. Both are on sale for $24 USD for a 1 year license, so I may give it a go anyways.
