@@pgprojex Now you’ve heard a few of my covers, you can see that I’m trying to capture many different styles. What I seek is VERSATILITY! I have also decided to sing an octave below if it is more comfortable. This song that is the case. It worked for Johnny Cash, right?? 😉😉

@@thewiseoutlaw41 I've heard and I'm still enjoying MANY of your covers ... no audio additives, they are REAL! F. KEN LOVETT!!! Versatility and freedom to play different styles I believe is important too, it's how we grow, as musicians plus people. And singing an octave lower, we have too some times because some other folk aren't blessed with our DEEPER tone and range. @thewiseoutlaw41 hay and something that gets overlooked you're vocally a good singer and guitar wise a good guitarist but more importantly and espeshilly you're putting it togeather at the same time it's one thing to be able to do either of those two things separately but to put them to weather at the same time takes a good cirdination and being in sink with self its like a new level if musicianship I know ide been playing guitar for around 20 years before I ever tried to vically skwack a note so yeah finding my limited vocal range to much booze and stogies and than coordinating the 2 has been a jurney all its own so salute × 2 for you for having that shizzle togeather

@pgprojex3 ай бұрын
Yeah another nice original, I really like the different parts, and the playing under the "I am the Wise Outlaw" part especially. I kept hearing an effective "thock", I was thinking it was the way you were strumming, finally at the end, I see your leg move and realise you must be using some sort of beater down there, nice touch. 🙂
@thewiseoutlaw413 ай бұрын
@@pgprojex haha! I always laugh at the thumps, they are mostly unintentional. I have a little plastic stool that I rest my right foot on, and often the foot just starts tapping as I try to bring the groove. Glad you enjoyed the song, I have been mostly writing on the 12 string lately, when it’s just you it brings a full spectrum behind you and a mysterious quality, I find. I read somewhere that David Bowie usually composed his stuff on a 12 string, and it would make sense to me. 🏴☠️🏴☠️🎸🎸🦉🦉
@pgprojex3 ай бұрын
@@thewiseoutlaw41 Haha! I use a yoghurt bucket as my foot stool. Everyone loves Bowie, so can't go wrong with that reference. Another who uses 12-string more than 6 is Melissa Etheridge, and yeah when playing solo it certainly fills out the sound. I've tried playing 12-string many times, but I've never owned one because my fingers are too fat and they always mute strings, so I take my hat off to those who can play one. Avagd1!
@pgprojex3 ай бұрын
Yeah nice original. 12-String sounds great, I can definitely hear the Ani influence, guitar sound and style, plus lyrically. The volume seemed better too, keep playing around with your mic (iPad) placement. I'm no expert sound engineer but if you can, maybe try having the iPad around forehead height, this will help put your vocals on top of the guitar. Avagd1!

Wow! Ani DiFranco, she's fantastic. I haven't been brave enough to try a song by her yet. Well done Wise Outlaw! My only criticism would be, it's overall volume is too quiet, the voice to guitar mix is fine, I just have to turn up my volume. Avagd1!
