Which machine do you have?

@@PatriotCoinRings I can only think that the 30 W is the input, but what is the output that the laser is actually putting out? Another thing is you might not be autofocusing laser correctly, or the auto focus may not be working properly which is why you are not getting full power to the surface.

@@TheKrushbuilder One things for sure, it's almost impossible to get any training unless you are already in that field so I've litteraly sat with this beautiful machine in my garage for about 2 years before learning how to use it primarily picking apart youtube here to learn bits and pieces. In shortI was working with everything except one issue. I figured the closer the laser was to the item the deeper or stronger the cut and it's not true. There's a point that has to be met where the lasers length can't be too close or not to far away so take a piece of scrap metal and put it on your table. Use the riser of your laser and move it up and down listening to the sound of the metal etch or cut. The louder the sound, the more cutting and etching you are recieving! Each time you put a new item on the table if it's different in hegiht (ie. closer to the laser), the height needs to be adjusted. Create a ruller or measuring stick of sorts to get that perfect distance between the metal and lasers lense and see if that works for you, it did for me. I still have a ton of learning to do but have grown and apparently that's what it's all about, self taught school of hard knocks. Good Luck!
