Remember also that ANY man or woman who is serving God effectively has a big bull’s-eye painted on his or her back that the enemy aims for. He always tries to bring down God’s servants in order to discredit His word. We pray for the Lord’s grace and forgiveness and correction for those who succumb to satan’s fiery darts, while not excusing their actions. And it’s very important not to allow their succumbing to temptations to cause us to discard the word and works of God that have come through their ministries.

Amazing and brutally honest video. I love it! 💯💛👏 While I completely understand the concerns with celerity culture and personality cults within Christianity, I'm not convinced that removing your face from thumbnails and content branding is necessarily the right answer. I think this for 3 reasons: 1. Even if you remove your face from video thumbnails, as soon as someone clicks on a video, they will see you speaking and delivering meaningful content that helps them. And so this will result in them recognising you and still potentially idolising you. Unless you turn ALL your videos into pure animated graphics, your face and personality are still there. Would you also then need to anonymise your books? Etc. Eventually, people will work out who you are. 🤷‍♂️ 2. It's just human nature that we desire to connect to other humans. That's why thumbnails with faces attract more attention. We want to feel like we can relate and connect with someone on the other side of the screen. This is not necessarily a bad thing but rather an important aspect of human connection. I agree that the overly dramatic, ridiculous, and clickbait thumbnails are stupid and drive me crazy. I hate them. But I think the answer is not necessarily removing your face altogether but rather using an authentic, appropriate image because, again, people connect with other people. 🤝 3. In Scripture, many of the people God used in significant ways became 'celebrities' and known throughout the region. Some people idolised them to the point that people like Paul had to address it in his letters. I feel like this tendency with people is unavoidable. Pauls response wasn't to make himself anonymous and hide his face, but simply to correct the people's thinking and challenge them to do better. This might be the more balanced approach? 🧐 Either way, I completely understand the concerns and dangers raised here. They are significant and especially relevant in today's celerity culture. But I just think that any meaningful ministry that impacts the world requires the people who are learning to interact with those who are teaching, and there's simply no way to avoid being elevated by others in such contexts. The nuanced answer to this might be to learn how to manage the attention, to redirect people's focus and affection back to Jesus, to stay submitted to the Holy Spirit, and be accountable to others. ✝️🙏🕊 I'd be interested to hear others' thoughts on this... ? 😉👍

ALL OF THE OTHER RELIGIONS DENY THE DEATH BUTIAL AND RESURRECTION IS COMING FROM LUCIFER/SATAN. THEY MIGHT TALK ABOUT JESUS BUT THEY DENY THE MOST IMPORTANT PART. THEY ARE WORKS BASED AND CHRISTIANITY IS GRACE BASED. SAVED BY GRACE REWARDED BY WORKS. MEANING THERES REALLY GOOD PEOPLE IN HELL AND BAD PEOPLE IN HEAVEN.

So the "religious skeptic", unsurprisingly knows nothing of the claims he is making and probably copied them from Reddit. The Motivation Muhammad and his followers had to go to war was the same motivation they had when they robbed traveling caravans. Money and sex. They took the material spoils of war or robbery and took the women as sex slaves. Read the Koran, it not only admits it, it brags about it. This is not dying or willing to die to peacefully preach the truth about what you witnessed as was the case for the apostilles. Joseph Smith was tared and feathered because be was a pedophile not for his religious claims. He was preying on, yet another underage teen girl and was lucky to be only tared and feathered because they were going to castrate him but the doctor backed out at the last minute so he got tared and feathered instead. Jim Jones was responsible for the murder of a US congressman, who was part of an investigation against him for multiple crimes. He knew the gig was up and committed suicide rather that be taken alive. In fact, Jones had been conditioning his cult members to commit suicide because the CIA was planning to destroy them and suicide was the only escape. The evidence shows that a great many of the cult members didn't know the Kool Aid was poisoned and many of the 900 people killed were shot not poisoned. Regardless, this had to do with escaping the law not some religious conviction. So wrong on all counts. Religious skeptic should be more skeptical of his sources of information.

Second thought afterwards. There is a channel on YT about car repair. The creator does not show his face. He goes to great extremes to not show his face. It all about the repairs. Now he may do that so he can go through and not be recognized. Be normal. It doesn't take an hour to get a gallon of milk. No autographs. No pictures to be taken. No conversations with strangers.

I some much enjoy this channel. I stopped at a minute and change. When the news of Ravi broke.....it broke the hearts of so many. He was a good teacher. It's a shame that his presence has been removed. David from the bible was not without major flaws. Yet he is held in high esteem. Rightfully so. His faith was unwavering. Martin Luther of the 95 these is regarded as a great Christian. His later writings and behavior, however, were far from Christian. Yet that is glossed over. Okay, back to the presentation!

He who believes has salvation. What if he stops believing? Why would Jesus and Paul speak of apostasy or the great falling away. Most will say that person never was truly saved. But you cannot be an apostate unless you truly believed. The Bible is full of passages that say in one way or another “ if you continue in your faith or in the faith”. 1 Corinthians 15:1-2. Also, will God allow unbelievers into Heaven?

The background says "Fearless Faith". That's the key. You can't lose your salvation by moral failure. But you can stop having faith and if you die without keeping your faith in Christ, you will be lost. Hebrew 6 and 10. Faith is essential. (That doesn't mean having doubts, which we all have from time to time. But saying in your heart/mind/spirit that you no longer believe Christ can save you, or that the God of the Bible is the one true God.)

Under secular ideologies, morality is whatever the collective lets you get away with or requires you to do. We’ve seen - are seeing - the electorate allowing abuse of power to establish an ideology as the source of morality. De facto atheists have overwhelming power in the West. An honest statement of the chair’s goal would not be, “establish moral treatment of atheists,” but rather, increase the power of atheists and stealth atheists.

Atheists are happy to attack theists and openly try to degrade and humiliate believers at every turn. Somehow they feel like they should be immune to criticism. If you can't take the heat get out of the kitchen. I wonder what this chair of atheism is going to do because atheists have no arguments to support their faith in the proposition God does not exist. Perhaps he will spend his days writing SKY DADDY, SKY DADDY, SKY DADDY on the black board. Maybe since the new chair is a professor of philosophy, perhaps he can teach the the go to logical fallacies atheist like to employ, namely Strawmen, Non Sequitur, Genetic fallacy, False Dilemma, Begging the question (by assuming materialism), and Equivocation. This is not exhaustive but these fallacies are many atheists "stock in trade". One of the worst offenders, is a guy named Holy Koolaid, who thinks he understands logic and does videos pointing out supposed fallacies in theistic arguments. He regularly gets is wrong and also doesn't understand that a statement is not an argument and fallacies presuppose and argument. His standard technique is to take a 30 minute or longer video that includes an opening statement followed by premises, support for the premises, and a conclusion. He will address only the opening statement where no premises or proof is given (because its the statement of what they intend to prove) and pretend the opening statement is the argument, he claims a bunch of fallacies by name and claims victory. Of course, this is an illegal chess move. He doesn't address the argument at all. His audience is ignorant and capable of little more than repeating the short sound bites he provides them so they go away happy in the belief that their intellectual superiority has been confirmed and they can go back to their atheist boards and tell each other how brilliant they are.

It's strange that you're talking about "Christian celebrity" bc it's an issue I've dealt with more recently. I have a friend who seems to have fallen prey to it b/c he is charming & sort of a mini-celebrity locally & it feels like it's slowly corrupting him. And I feel like other people are blinded to the problem b/c there's this idea that if you're a celebrity, then you've "made it" as a Christian. But really, that is judging by the world's standard of success, not God's. (Also, Sunday before last I visited my friend's church, which is a satellite of Jentezen Franklin's, and he spoke on this same thing as well!) Basically, you've confirmed my worries for my friend have at least some foundation, and I need to pray for him more earnestly.

I saw a very interesting video of Christopher Hitchens a few days back. He was chatting in the back of a car, talking about a conversation he had with Richard Dawkins. In short, he told Dawkins that if he managed to talk every theist but one out of their belief in God, that he wouldn't try to convince that one last theist that God doesn't exist. He said Dawkins was incredulous. Hitchens said it was more than the fact that there would be no one left to argue with but that he didn't know what that reason was. I think we do. I think it was that he knew that theism is not an evil, that it is the very moral fabric which holds societies together. I think the thought of no theists left in the world scared the pants off of him. And I think most atheists agree with this. Great chat Detective Wallace. Now I'm off to read your articles. I find your arguments very thought provoking, even as a Christian. Thank you.

I think it is interesting that the donator stated that Atheism is a minority. Very intentional wording he is using to associate atheism with today's "diversity, equity, and inclusivity (DEI)" movements. He wants to place Atheism as a people group under the umbrella of a protected group. This is also why he used the term discrimination. I think this is the modern climate of evil forces agenda to continue calling good things evil and evil things good. Inversion of truth.

It's premise is that the world will only survive if faith-based ideology is replaced by rational scientific reasoning. In other words, mankind will die if we do not eliminate religious belief. I think that's what communism tried to do under Stalin and Mao when they murdered over 100 million Christians and other theists. (The information is available from non-christian historical sources, if you have any doubts.)

Jesus said "THOSE WHO ENDURE TO THE END SHALL BE SAVED" so what's the opposite of not enduring to the end? Paul said "WORK YOUR SALVATION WITH FEAR AND TREMBLING" he's encouraging us to work this free gift and protect it as it was given as a love gift not of works. Further more where does is say in scripture that a born again, baptized, believer can NOT lose his salvation? The other thing if a Christian is in a full blow back sliden state, not in the word, not in prayer, not fellowshipping and has returned back to the world and the Lord returns, do you seriously thing he will be taken because if that's the case then once we received salvation we should return to sin and either way we are saved. Sorry, i can't agree with the once saved always none biblical doctrine.
