Obviously this roof will fail, and when it does he will pile of excuse after excuse and in the end stop replying to the customer. Happens quite often. Never their fault, ' oh must have been a faulty batch' ill come back to you by tomorrow and tomorrow never comes.

Great video. Looks great. I have a worn-out fibre glass roof, not touched for around 20 years and showing sign of wear. Would this work on it? Also some product leave a tacky finish. How does this product feel after it has cured? Thnx

For anyone interested its Desmopol. You can tell by the tin. And yes it should have 225g matting across the entire structure not just the board joins. At a minimum that roller should be squeegee it on to give some depth and not actually rolling.

seen this done on a existing roof before to extend the service life. All seams have the reinforcement set in the liquid and another coat onto of that but, not directly over plywood. I have seen this done directly over Dens Deck and it failed.

BE WARY ABOUT TRUSTING E ONE HAULAGE. We paid E One Haulage to transport 5 tonnes of soil for the our new garden's raised beds and the soil the driver picked up was confirmed as high quality. When the driver arrived he insisted it was poor quality (I did not get the chance to look at it myself as he was in a rush and the truck sides were high) and that they had a much better quality soil at the yard that he would swap it for. I trusted him and he returned with the soil, which our builders then transferred into our new garden. Once I was able to look at it properly I realised we had been duped - the 'high-quality soil' they delivered has since been confirmed as not even qualifying as soil. It is rocks and waste and it is impossible to even get a spade into it. I took a while to report this as we spent a year trying to dig better soil into it to get things to grow. I emailed E One Haulage and they proposed delivering more soil, but this was not a helpful option as the raised beds were already full to the brim and by this point we did not trust them to deliver a decent quality soil. We then spent another year trying to improve the soil by digging some out and adding better soil and then we were in lockdown for the past year. It has not worked and we now have to pay for builders to spend several days digging out the soil because nothing will grow - we have worked out we have wasted at least £500 on plants and it is going to cost us about £1,000 to now finally have a decent soil in the garden in which plants can actually grow. I have again been asking Richie at E One Haulage for some kind of help but he flat out refuses to rectify the wrong they have caused us. They will not even pick up the terrible soil they gave us and take it away.

where's the reinforcing matting? although it is very elastic, it can't cope long term with the movement and weathering without reinforcing

Liquid rubber is definitely A GREAT PRODUCT however it needs to be applied correctly and needs to be fully reinforced with glass fibre and then second coated this I have used grp and epdm and the liquid rubber from lrs is the way forward in my opinion

The work these guys are doing seems very professional. However, I have this Spanish product on my flat roof, I'm only writing this comment hoping that it will save someone some money. Keep away from it, it has failed on my roof big time, even though 3 coats were applied, Is has very little elasticity.

The only felt that are good is a decent rubberised one - felt is generally crap imo ! EPDM is the way forward - 20 yr Guarantee but it last 50 years - neat, no torching/hot works, its the best by far !

@@sk2283 I’ve put more right over the last couple of years than I can count mate ,the only thing rubbers any good for is covering a skip ,sweaty delaminates and isn’t generally adhered to the upstands,50 years yeah mate 🙄

@@danielfinley47 generally sweating is due to not doing the roof insulation correctly - not installing a vapour barrier correctly - warm roof's can sweat and you got to have a vapour barrier - or cold roof needs venting properly - I've been doing them for a few years now with no issues (so far!) the one on my office is doing fine after 7 years

Fibreglass is a good product but.. Not 110%.. No primer then it won't bond to sterling board.. Also.., Has a chance to crack. Grp roofing has to be solely relying on the weather.. Can either be too hot or too cold.
