I thought this video was interesting and I wanted to try it myself and al I really found out is that I'm never listening to classic musical while cubing. #1 with an average of 11.48 gospel music. #2 with an average of 11.75 dubstep. #3 with an average of 11.84 silence. #4 with an average of 11.99 rock and #5 with an average of 14.02 classical.
@daniel-kidd24 күн бұрын
Wow those are some pretty interesting results, yeah definitely never listen to classical again lmao wow
@JoshuaMaraisStuff26 күн бұрын
will say that ultimately you should just listen to what you want as the gains, if there are any, would be marginal at best. However there is something to be said about how the performance transfers to official comps, ive seen a few people end up performing better officially because they are solely focused on solving the cube and arent subconsciously being distracted by any music. In theory if you are listening to a lot of chaotic loud stuff at home then the transfer to a quiet competitive setting could be beneficial to official performance (with ear muffs or something else to drown out crowd noise obviously)
@godspeedrubiks27 күн бұрын
I also wanted to try this out a while ago and was planning on doing ao100s for everything but ended up DRASTICALLY IMPROVING (went from averaging around 17 to 14) after only doing a few categories and just gave up because it would be unfair for the first few categories 😂. Glad that someone has done this tho. Really nice and well made video. Definitely deserves more attention.

In my area, the northern part of Germany, there are absolutely 0 competitons, so I usually go to the ones in Denmark. However, you could technically ask a delegate if he helps you organize and run a competition, which they will probably gladly do
