Marcello sei probabilmente il migliore per come riesci a spiegare e trasmettere queste conoscenze. Della tua scuola non c'è nessun che insegna in zona Udine?

Lovely pushing hands video! Whilst the use of the word "sparring" could just mean 'more open/free partner practice', i.e. not drilled partner practice sticking to a fixed pattern in which case, for other Taiji practitioners, I guess this could be described as 'sparring'. However, for those outside of the Taiji community, standing-grappling "sparring" would include things like going for a single-leg or double-leg takedown, falling to the floor and wrapping a leg or going into guard. My feeling from watching this video is that the partner in this exercise was merely just pushing on the arms/torso of the Mr Sidoti as one would usually do in tuishou. Why would anyone who is not trained in pushing hands try to control their body by pushing on their arms? Possibly but it's not very likely. The partner isn't really using any 'martial common sense' as a practitioner of wrestling or BJJ would do in this situation, neither is he really doing anything that a 'normal' martially uneducated human being would do to another human being (other than just push his arms). This is lovely 散推 as it demonstrates really cleanly executed applications from pushing hands that require jin to execute but I think for most people outside of the Taiji community it's not really sparring. I'm only writing this much because I'm very much in the Taiji community and really do appreciate this type of practice and the ability it requires but, at the same time, feel it's easy for those within the Taiji community who do not 'spar' with Judokas or BJJ practitioners or wrestlers to get a false sense of their own ability to 'spar' with people who wouldn't just continue to push on your arms like a tuishou practitioner would. I.e. it's easy to for the practitioner and the viewer to get an over-inflated sense of the combative application of this. No offence intended. Like I said, it's really lovely tuishou.

Very nice! I sometimes play with Wing Chun people Tui Shou. This is a bit more difficult, because Chi Sao is somewhat like Tui Shou. So the better ones sense the intent better. But then again I'm surprised how good it works when I use it in Wing Chun sparring. (Doesn't work with the good Wing Chun people though.)

looking very good . it would be good to hear, or have subtitles, when he is pointing out circles of movement, hips or body centre line. So we can learn. ciao

Thanks so much; it's difficult to find good examples of applications, and also difficult to describe. I would love to attend a workshop with Mr Sidoti.

Marcello Sidoti, felicitaciones.
