Not sure which is which, but the kid with the blue hair captures the essence of the lyrics better than any other version I ever heard. He sings it with the sadness that the lyrics invoke. Wish he had done it solo.

Say what you will about these guys, but Tom had true musical genius as a musician, arranger, composer and producer. It was his idea to add sounds using the GameBoy. It sounds fantastic. Remember, they were only teenagers at the time. Flawed human beings like everyone else, but just kids trying to be creative and have fun.

I’m reading Alex Day’s book, “Living and Dying on the Internet,” and the part where he tells all about the forming of this group and how they were immediately manipulated and taken advantage of by unscrupulous adults is absolutely surreal. They were fighting amongst themselves and with people on the outside almost from the outset. It’s a real pity because they each had talents and abilities of their own. Charlie wanted out of the group within a week or two of the whole thing beginning.

Same. I'm from America and really got into this group and its members' respective works when I was 17, which was 2011-2012. I thought it was the coolest thing back then when the world seemed a lot brighter than it is now. It's a shame and really fucked up what happened to each member, minus Charlie, as deplorable and inexcusable as it may be. That being said, Ed Plant was personally my favorite mostly because he had a very distinct singing voice that straddled the fence between contemporary emo/pop-punk and soul. Had he not done what he did, he could have possibly had George Ezra's career and success given their similar sounding voices. Absolutely tragic situation.

Well they aren't the best looking bunch (besides charlie of course) but I like their voices. Had this song on my iPod for ages and never realised charlie was in the band or his blue haired friend tom that he mentioned when he dyed his hair. Seriously? Sex Offenders? That's slightly funny cos they look pretty creepy ya know, walk on the other side of the street. Oh well they can sing at least. Poor charlie sitting like a lemon at the back.

Oh yes, such amazing people. Aren't child molesters and abusers just the fucking best? Charlie is only guilty of associating with terrible people without realising it - something I am also guilty of so I know how awful it feels. (I was friends with someone until i found out he was a convicted paedophile. It really hurts to find out someone you care about is evil and i can only imagine how it must feel to have 3 of his close friends outed) He has my sympathy. The other 3 can go die for all I care. Scum of the earth who do not deserve your protection or sympathy. I hope you have come to your senses in the 3 years since you posted this and developed some empathy for the women and children they took advantage of and abused.
