I personally feel like keeping ur weight on the back foot is important when bobbing n weaving. Having ur weight on the front foot isn’t necessarily ideal. U can generate more lead hook power from ur rear leg.

I promise you one thing. If you are very skilled in different, and this is VERY important, different types of martial arts, you might have a decent and maybe even a good chance to defend yourself against someone with a knife that is not skilled in using a knife. And still there are good chances for you getting cut and/or stabbed in the process. But if you meet some that is a skilled knife fighter and specially if you meet someone that is very skilled and learned from the best and not some BS American "Kali" school, then you have zero chance. Then do NOT think you can use your martial art skills only as that will most likely get you killed. If you as an example meet someone with my knife skills that have learned from the best in both the Philippines and other countries, your chances are EXTREMELY small. I see so many stupid knife defense classes and also knife defense lessons online and the reality is that following them will most likely get you killed. You are better off training with your running shoes or at the gun range. There are some ways to improve your odds, but sadly do I see nothing of this in knife self defense classes. But there are also risks involved in this because this can also give people a false sense of the ability to fight off a knife attack and make them stay in the situation instead of getting away from it asap.

Can you explain this and the technique going under the rope? What is the difference?😎
@MMA-Academy6 ай бұрын
Under the rope - great for head movement and to go underneath hooks and straight punches but mainly hooks - slips is great against jabs and straight punches and closing distance without putting your head down - Both exercises are important to develop great head movement- follow our rope head movement video :)

I'm glad you found the content useful. Defending against a double leg takedown can be challenging, but with the right techniques and strategies, it is possible to avoid being taken down. Some effective tactics include maintaining a solid base, using the sprawl to prevent your legs from being grabbed, and counterattacking with techniques from wrestling or Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. It is also important to practice and improve your technique with a training partner. Keep practicing, and I hope you continue to find our videos helpful!
